**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

As of now we can only give 32M for a max. 34M is the full max.

Absorbing Hills contract and stretching him reduces that figure by 4M. So we can then only give 28M. Meaning the most we can offer is -6M of max.

If we package him.. then add more value to the package. Basically some more first round picks/players. The trade is absurd as is and when you add to it it’s even worse
28 m pretty good.
6M loss isnt terrible when youre in LA with Bron, AD, Magic.

I really don’t care for the Walton slander. But this **** is corny right here.

“You don’t even hear of [Kyle] Kuzma if Lonzo don’t make him in the Las Vegas Summer League,” LaVar told Arizona’s Sports Station 98.7.

“You see every time Kuzma plays by himself? [Josh] Hart by himself? They get nothing. [Brandon] Ingram play by himself? They get nothing. They look raggedy. Lonzo, he makes everybody better. How can you make everybody better if you got four people dribbling the ball up the court? You put him in a corner. You try to make him a 3-and-D guy. He’s been a guy who controls the game. You can’t control the game if you’re sitting on the bench and you’re taking him in and out of the game.”
He ain’t lying about the last part. “Hey Lonzo. Stand in corner and shoot 3s... otherwise don’t touch the ball”

We’ll see if he suddenly becomes aggressive and wants the ball on his next team. He definitely defers to Lebron Ball as many others do

The Lakers offer is going to be available in July, it makes sense to wait.

I seriously doubt that's the case after this fiasco. What if all of a sudden one if the free agents have a change of heart? There's no need to sell the farm for AD plus the finances will be different.

And if by chance the kids ball out in the playoffs? Nah.

If I were the Pelicans, I would be doing the same ****.

We’ll see if they respond back before Thursday.

It’s bad business no matter what team it is

I’m only speaking on the Lakers cause thats my team, idc what other teams are doing.

Plus we wouldn’t be even looking at AD if Lebron wasnt here, whats the urgency now? Especially when GSW gonna reign at least one more year, I’m taking young players over one “superstar” and a bunch of scrubs, simply to please Lebron

Whag has AD done to prove we need to push for him this bad?

Are you for real? You're saying you don't want your team to explore trades to make their team better? Every team does this. LOL at coddling millionaire players. This is part of the business.

Also, this is the last year of the Warriors as we know them. If KD leaves, then their beatable next season. If KD re-signs, they probably won't be able to offer Klay the max because it would put their payroll ~300m for next season so theres a good chance he leaves.

I think Boston gonna have their blog boys continue to downplay our players while elevating theirs

Wait for a Woj article mid March about how awesome of a player Brown is while Boston radio will put Lavar on its airwaves and allow him to further drive Lonzo stock. They will also continue to call lakers players trash on all these ALA shows.

Best case for us now is we ball out m, make playoffs, Ingram averages 25 6 and 6 and ball balls like he did right before injury and then we lowball them bc our two young pieces will be tatum level good, whatever that means.

Things can always change, but it's looking like a cold summer.

If the Lakers are empty handed, LeBron is going to be hell bent on Davis even more than he is now. Can't waste two years waiting for Davis in free agency. Especially if Boston is looming.
