Pelicans still keep Zo standing around much of the time. Idk if that’s a function of the system or just Zo’s unwillingness to move, cut, set screens etc. He sometimes operates as the ball handler in pnr or as a spot up shooter but it’s pretty much the same Zo that was here
His shooting and layups has improved a bit but he already missed games with a groin injury. He hasn’t proven that he can play for sustained periods without getting hurt. And a lot of the issues that plagued him here, primarily his inability to drive to the rim or play with aggression, is still an issue for him. And when he does drive he gets his **** blocked. He honestly needs to drop DMo as his trainer and start working with legitimate trainers. Shot is encouraging. He’s not bricking layups as much. But he got no lift. And he hasn’t even came close to UCLA Zo type production so he’s been disappointing but idk about bust just yet.
