Same thing Lebron gets in NBA thread....same nonsense the Lakers get in the NBA thread.

There is some good laughter in there but some of them folks have issues.....

I think it’s all love though. Kobe broke a lot of hearts around the league

I mean I wasn't much different than this if we're being honest, for those who can remember. The difference between me and them, though, was that it wasn't his death that turned around my opinion of him. It was seeing him as a father the older his kids got. There's a special place in my heart for good dads, (and I am specifically saying good dads. Moms get tons of love, but good dads, I just love to see it). The older his kids got, I just kept thinking, 'I'm so glad bro a Laker.'

Then honestly what officially completely put me over the edge from being kind of a fan to being all the way... was his retirement. When Jeanie said 'The reason we're retiring both numbers is because if each number had their own career, we would retire that number by itself.' I legit looked the numbers up separately. Never realized that and definitely felt some type of way about him essentially having 2 HoF careers for us.

I’m sure some people probably hated Kobe the basketball ball player to the max but were able to separate those feelings from Kobe the person outside of the game.

Out of respect for his passing seems like the hate on Kobe the player was quiet for a while, but the further we move away from the year of his passing the disrespect is slowly starting gain momentum again.

I don’t like to argue who’s the goat, or where such and such belongs on a subjective list. All I can say is Kobe is my favorite player of all time, and I think he was the most skilled, greatest scorer that I’ve ever seen. And those who don’t agree with me, that’s fine…not my job to convince you otherwise.

grittyman grittyman is on point

I always say Kobe is the second greatest shooting guard of all time. That’s enough for me

And I always go back to what his peers and former players from previous eras say about him. All the other pundits and “analysts” talking is just noise.

That’s a pretty quick return given the way all his weight came down on his ankle and his ankle touched the floor like that

Hope him returning will be worth it and he won’t get hurt again

Yea I remember you were not a fan of Kobe lol but I also remember you coming around on Kobe, before he passed.

Kobe is my goat. I let these other guys argue about efficiency and true shooting percentages lol

Fool me once, that's on you.
Fool me twice, that's on me.

Fool me 3 times, OK, I was just checking.
Fool me 4 times, just double checking.
Fool me 5 times, OK, am I even trying?
Fool me 6 times, I've probably given up.
Fool me 7 times, clearly I'm an idiot.
