Same group of people using LeGM are usually the same ones clowning AD on his health, complaining about the draft picks that it took to get that deal done and reminiscing about former Lakers on other teams.

It’s pretty well known Lebron and AD pushed hard for Russ. Then at the all star break Klutch went into damage control mode and started putting out stories trying to walk back from that

Lebron asked for Russ…didn’t work, now LeGM sucks. Lebron asked for AD…won championship, no LeGM praise.

Bron didn't get praise for bringing AD? I could have sworn every article and person continually says AD is in a Laker uniform ONLY because of Bron.
Windy is 100% spot on. I been saying the same thing for over a year now. It's going to be ugly but hey we got a chip out of it. Need to explore what they can get for AD this summer.

Praise? I’ll tell you what I remember mostly around the time of the trade…and that’s man the Lakers got shafted look at all what they gave up for AD. But pretty much the “LeGM” thing really just comes down to how you feel about Lebron.
And the 4 year window thing is mostly true of all contenders because the salary cap. In order to win it all it takes a least two max players, some high level talent maybe making around the MLE or more and a couple of young players who maybe haven’t gotten played yet and are performing over market value. Within that window the max guys get older, and everyone else wants a raise. Some of those LBJ teams shipped out draft picks to extend the window, which was arguably the right thing to do at the time. It’s really either that or trade some of your old core like the Celts did and reload that way.

Eh, I'd disagree. Bron's pattern for going thru teams since going to Miami is pretty distinctive. He has no use for young players and loves old vets. The Bucks, Warriors, Suns after acquiring CP0 etc. all have maintained some draft capital/young assets at least to try and extend or maintain windows. We did mismanage that in theory though with Caruso/Kuz but again some of that falls on Bron as well. It just sucks cause he's older now and the impact even of his play isn't the same anymore. We're pretty much completely at the mercy of whether AD is available or not. So again if they try to squeeze more water outta this turnip by giving our last couple picks for a ship that's already sunk to faux contend with Bron at age 38+ it'll tell me a lot.

The Suns have won zero titles and are basically in year two of whatever window they may have. But eventually some of their cheaper young players like Cam J will be up for a raise and will probably be moved and they might have to trade picks to replace older vets like Crowder.
The Bucks traded two firsts and two swaps for Jrue Holiday. Also got rid of a solid young player in Dante D for a lesser player in Grayson A because it was time to pay up. Also got rid of a key player on last years team PJ because of money as well.
The Clips gave up a lot of future picks to get PG and the Nets did the same to get Beard.
To be clear my point is this what happens to a lot of teams with championship aspirations, or teams trying to extend their windows. It is not some thing exclusive to Lebron led squads
