**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Who do you replace him w/in the closing lineup? Troy Brown?Russ?JTA?Pat Bev?
AD, Bron and Reaves are the mandatory three for the final six minutes of a game. Final two should be between Walker, Brown, Brick and Schroder but you can't play Schroder and Brick together. I wouldn't mind giving Gabriel a look either.

I don't know...

But what I know is over the past few years in the last 5 min of a game unless its a blow out, the offense just gets stagnant with Bron on the floor.

Obviously bron is always gonna close games. I'm not stupid.

But for him to have the basketball IQ he has, it seems he forgets it the last 5 min of games.
It’s definitely annoying to watch,Bron ball only works if hes living in the paint not firing up aimless 20ft fadeaways and random 3s .It kills the flow he should get off the ball more and they should give Reaves more play making responsibly

So I haven’t rewatched any of the game last night but one thing I noticed is obviously defenses will be loaded up in the paint with all the non shooters in the Laker’s closing lineup. It looks like Bron is either trying to draw a defensive 3 second count or time his move right when the guy on the back line has been in the paint for 2.5 seconds and has to step out.

Dennis and Russ both tried to run some pick and rolls with AD but no spacing I don’t believe they got anything out of that. Wanna say a 17 turnover and an awful 0 pull-up were two sequences that standout.

I agree that Lebron should not be closing games. I'm also aware that the optics prevent that from ever NOT happening, ever.

The equivalent of Vogel playing the Brick-Rondo backcourt last season. :lol

Bron needs to be at the 4 at the end of games and have him as a screener/roller. That way he can be a finisher or playmaker still without having to dribble the ball 5 million times 28 feet from the rim each possession. Let Walker, Russ, or DS be the ball handler.

If Bron is going to be the primary ball handler at the end of games, its not going to end well because his ability to get to the rim easily is greatly diminished at this point.

Bron shouldve sat after he tweaked his ankle. he was cattin' after that lol dawg went like 5-21 after the sprain :lol

no idea why the team stopped competing after they built up that league tho lol dudes stopped picking up in transition and Indy made all those 3's

20 game sample size and front office/management still content on not making a trade
this version of AD can carry to a chip as long as he and Bron stay healthy. bron been getting injured every other week and that **** annoying but when he was healthy for those handful of games he still looked pretty good imo but yeah team's gotta lean into AD cuz this version of AD is >>

Ham has also gotta stop playing 4 guard lineups and he's also like Vogel in that they sub out players who have hot hands which is annoying

Lol y’all crazy

LJ not closing games?

This team can’t shoot so defenses are gonna pack the paint when LJ got the ball OBVIOUSLY

The team is just not put together well, many flaws and many ways for teams to scheme us when you got NO SHOOTERS.

I do agree they need to go to AD on the block more in the crunch and allow LJ to roam more than pound it.

Team is just buns, there not much we can do with the pieces we have.

There is no magic lineup or combination of players that’s going to change that.

Just saw the clip and Halliburton double dribbled in that last possesion but we shouldn’t have lost to begin with

I'm still sick from last night.

IDK bout yall but the DirecTV stream literally paused while the shot was in the air.... then it cut back to Pacers celebrating on the sideline  :smh:

I got to watch it in 4k....

I was so pissed I had to take melatonin to get to sleep.

Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons had 30+ each last night and they almost beat the clippers. Clippers still won without PG and Kawhi.

Gotta get this win tonight. December will make or break our season.

Season already broke if we don’t move Russ.
