**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Jovan says he's heard San Antonio, New York, and Chicago have trade interest with the Lakers.

Guessing that revolves around Richardson/McDermott, Reddish/Fournier, DeRozan/Vucevic/Caruso.

Steve Kerr was never a HC. Walked in and won titles.

Phil was never a HC. Walked in, won titles.

Pat Riley was never a HC, walked in, won titles.

Ty Lue was never a HC, walked in, won title.

Ime walked in and went to a Finals. (And touched a few secretaries along the way)

Coaching so important, first time HC's can just come in and win titles. 👍
Pitching is not important because John Lackey walked right into a World Series as a rookie and won 2 games, one of them being Gm 7, and because Francisco Rodriguez threw a 1.93 ERA that while postseason as a rookie.

Teams don't aurally NEED pitchers. Chicks dig the long ball.

(Holy hell, you might actually believe that one, too. 🤣)

Names mentioned as potential trade targets:
Kuz
Bogdanovic
PJ Washington
DeRozen/Vuc
McDermott
Reddish
Oubre

They're not trading for anyone that isn't on a 1 year deal. They're not trading Russ at this point. Reaves will only start after there have been 42 games played because his cap hold goes up if he starts more games than that

You think rob or Jeanie is having that discussion with Ham? Telling a coach not to start someone because of money reasons. You’re prob right

Absolutely

100%.

Remember when Ham made that comment about the salary cap after one of the first games and the Lakers scrubbed all footage of it off the internet :lol

I was just thinking what Van Gundy just said, that we're not going through AD tonight.

I don't like it.
