**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Just make the 6th seed and see what happens.

These guys have been close in all these games without AD, AR and Lonnie.

Just make the 6th seed.

Usually when the centers are guarding Russ they’re sagging off almost dating him to shoot but Embiid was playing up like he was a perimeter defender. I don’t think a timeout was needed initially but I agree after the ball was fumbled you got to call one.

The weird thing about this team is they are pretty bad down the stretch of games because the offense goes mostly ISO slow and stagnant…but they create decent opportunities in the half court when they run their offense.

Other than that I got nothing. We all know Russ shouldn’t be closing games but with so many guys out there’s really no other option.

I'll take a guard on the perimeter with a big man pressing up on him any time, should be a easy blow by for a layup and/or foul

but it's Russ so none of those are easy and the inevitable happened :{

And btw I think if Lebron wanted the ball so bad he could have either gone over and got the ball from Russ or maybe even set a screen to get in the play.

He did nothing but chill over there on the weak side… so I’m not really all the way on board with that get the ball in your best player’s tonight. Sometimes they gotta go get it too…be assertive down the stretch.

Lebron would get his team a shot attempt
Even if it’s a 0.00001% step back three

I guess technically they credited Russ with a shot attempt too :lol

Darvins got his strengths as a HC, but his shortcomings are glaring also, hope he’s not too hard headed behind closed doors to address.

Russ super giddy after the loss in the locker room is annoying af too. But I think that’s just part of his defense mechanism when he knows the whole world is about to **** on him

That final play, bros. 😕🤦‍♂️

I can appreciate a change of heart and an improved attitude which Russ clearly has so I'm still rocking with him.
He's just not a closer.
Do not let Russ close games.
Don't have Russ close.
When Ham creates closing squads, use a Sharpee to draw a line through Russ' name.
No Russ close.
Russ should not be closing.

With no AR, Lonnie and even Bev it makes it hard for him not to close and he was effective most of the game.

If AR and Lonnie are healthy, Russ is probably on the bench.

Absolutely he was effective most of the game. There are enough examples of him botching EOG situations that he should not be out there, AR/Lonnie/Bev be damned. Call someone up from the G League at halftime for the last 3 minutes.

Not him.

Not ever.

Getting DLF Vibes from this post...lol

I guess Nunn could have been out there...
