**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Dlo to Charlotte is a homecoming I guess.
I’d draft scoot if I was Mitch tho. Scoot x LaMelo leaves no room for Dlo. Different story if they take miller.

Anyways, I’m hyped for next year already.
Anthony Davis bout to be on a mission next year.
Max Christie making the leap.
18 on the way :hat

Big 5ozier should've been here already. Been pushing for that since last April.

Hindsight 20/20 vision: some combination of Rozier/Hayward/Oubre >>>>>>>>>>> DLo/Beasley/Vanderbilt.

But anyways.........................

I still say resign everyone and see what things look like come January. Buddy & Myles still out there. FVV & GTJ still out there. Terry still out there and Gordo might be bought out. Kyrie & Dame fanning the flames in their respective cities. Caruso definitely trade bait next year. Just no S&T that hard caps them from future moves. Then you're relying on 35+ y/o ring chasers that can't keep it together for 82 games.

Checked the two minute report...

That kick ball on Rui....smh I knew it wasn't a kick ball.

They also deemed a correct no call on the last drive by Lebron...

We not letting AR go. I really just wanna know how we use our contracts/pics this offseason.

I love that AR isn’t doing that “it’s a business” ********. He’s not going anywhere.

Lakers will offer the max they can offer.
AR will search for a better offer sheet that the Lakers will match. Nothing complicated here.

Would be nice to keep Vando and lock him in the gym with Phil over the summer.

He's a great piece for the regular season.

IMO, The biggest thing this team must address is how to LOAD MANAGE LeBron during the regular season.

We need him to sit as much as possible while still being competitive, he's earned it.

whether that's bringing in another scorer, or making some small tweeks I'm not sure atm but they gonna have to figure it out.

I liked our team, I liked the way we fought, I liked HAM.....we just ran OUT OF GAS (lebron)

Great second half of season, proud of our guys.

We need to be able to have a good enough offense when Bron is sitting to load manage him.

We need a solid 3 point shooter.

Rui made himself a lot of $ after coming to the show, hope we can keep him, but I understand if he wants the bag and goes elsewhere. From coming off the bench in Washington, to becoming a real rotation player in a few months.

My guess is DLo, AR, Rui are all on the Lakers next year.

DLo is probably low 20s. Still holds some leverage of regardless of Nuggets series. Lakers are maxed out with or without him (including Rui and AR’s holds and roster holds etc). Only other course would be using Beasley/Bamba to get a PG. But that defeats the purpose because why commit other assets to get an asset you had. Beasley/Bamba value is low. A pick could help it along, but meh.

AR will be 11-12 whatever that first year comes out to based on final cap number.

Rui will be like 15

sohi 23 sohi 23 brought this up about Vando having a negative impact on DLo offensively. But Vando also contributed to the negative defensive impact as well. Not just for DLo, but for everybody. (No not all on Vando) Don’t get me wrong Vando was huge in many moments from February on. But the Nuggets neutralized him in a ton of ways. And with him being meh for the defensive side. The whole perimeter defense went to **** with him.Including Vando’s propensity to wildly crash the offensive glass for rebounds. The key that got them there was Vando was using energy, effort and skill on the perimeter to neutralize the point of attack. DLo and Reaves were capable of staying on guys off ball and communicating defense. And AD was the man in the middle. There wasn’t much opportunity for them to hunt DLo or AR because they had Vando capable of playing on the perimeter.
Even for the limitations of DLo, AR and Bron coasting, it worked because they had a stopper outside and inside.

That’s my biggest key is having a stopper on the perimeter.
Even if it is not the best role for him, AD can handle his own at the 5. But an outside stopper makes it just that much easier for AD.

They could really spam forward depth and center depth and that would be a huge improvement overall in the regular season for rest reasons and for the playoffs for matchups.
