like i hoped kobe would have dropped 30 on the raptors his first game back but i thought he was going to get something like 14 points and 6 turnovers

i hope the lakers get 20 wins this season but my guess is we will end up around 34

my hopes are NEVER right but my guesses are often pretty close

Actually, my wallet example was a terrible comparison because of what you said: previous knowledge, which obviously doesn't apply to a prediction.

OK...

I WANT the Lakers to win the championship this year.

However, if I were to place money simply on the question "Will the Lakers win the championship? Place your money on 'Yes' or 'No'", every dime to my name (which is like 40-50 dimes 

 ) would be placed on 'No'... or '**** NO' if it was available.

And I guarantee there would be people IN HERE that would be like "Man, I thought you were a Lakers fan. 

 Let me get $20 on 'YES'!"
