Why would you take a player you don't necessarily (even though I don't believe any pre-draft articles) want in the draft who you aren't even sure is gonna be there long term just for a late first round or 2nd round?

Lakers want Towns, Flip wants Jah. Getting an extra pick will alleviate some of the backlash for passing on KAT AND he'll have extra to show for it.

My point is if they want Okafor they're gonna take him regardless.

He's not gonna go with Towns solely because he couldn't land that 34th pick :lol

I'd do 27 and 34 for 1. I will not trade Clarkson though.

Flip can have NY and Iggy for a snack size back of chips though.

The point is The Lakers want Towns and to ensure they get him they need the #1 pick so they will offer Flip their whole 2015 Draft to get his #1 pick and he will take it it's a no brainer on both sides

You don't take that chance, KAT is regarded as the best overall player in the draft and despite Flip's reported affinity for Jah, he could still cave to the pressure of everybody else in the organization and select KAT.

Yep. Don't take any chances. You already know three rookies won't make the roster. Trade the picks, get the guy you want and watch the front line dominate for years to come.

I hear what you guys are saying... But you really don't know what either player will bring to the table.

Although I would prefer KAT over Okafor strictly because I hate Dukies I'm not sure the gap is as large as you guys are making it out to be.

That said 2, 34 for 1 id do it

I don't think the gap is as massive either but it's not about that. It's about getting the best player available and the one that you want which is clearly KAT.

2 and 34 will get Mitch hung up on lol Flip gon ask for the whole 2015 Draft for that 1

I don't think so. 2 & 27 and maybe a player (Kelly, Black, or hopefully Swaggy P) should be more than enough. Flip benefits as much as the Lakers do.

True.

One could be Oden, one could be Durant. No gap between those two picks at all. ;)

2,27,34 or 2,27, Player same thing too me I think the deal gets done it's all on Mitch to do it man IMO

Not sure what that means.

Towns could be Oden...

Towns's potential is far greater than where Okafor can get to. Towns could be what Anthony Davis is, which is a menace to the league. Flat out nasty, on both ends of the court.

Okafor could be a lesser Melo, offensively nice, but defensively not worth much.

You saying there isn't much of a gap between the two of them is off, by quite a bit.
