I have to say it is probably a little bit of both. I recall two price hikes on Jordans in the past 5/10 years. I recall the jump to $190 and the occasional $225 on the "premium" quality. Does it cost more to make Jordan's now than say 20/30 years ago. Yes, however it is probably a difference in pennies on each shoe. That does not translate to the large markup, you can still hit your bottom line. However they are being greedy in the large increase.
