Wanted to try it out for myself. This is the first time ever painting or "customizing" a shoe. I picked up the angelus collectors edition kit with royal and black.
Let me know what you guys think.

This was right after the paint dried.

After I applied the "matte" finisher. It actually made the whole thing crazy shiny

I ended up hitting the whole shoe with two coast of Krylon matte and it made it look just like factory.

Very nice. The krylon finisher was definitely a nice touch

I'm happy I looked at the laser thread cause I almost bought the matte from Angelus

i would still suggest using the matte angelus finished before applying the krylon. Just to ensure you seal up the paint

Excellent work! One of the best wings logos I've seen...

And yes you absolutely need the Angelus finisher to protect the leather and prevent the paint from cracking or dripping in the rain.

Thanks

No GAC on the sockliner?

I went with the 50/50 method since it was easier and it is my first time "customizing" a shoe. It came out better than i thought.

djbooduh2o9 djbooduh2o9 execution on those is outstanding. Fellow architecture major? I see you using the drafting table as a work surface.

Thanks. Im actually a photo major and my brother is a interior design major, that explains the drafting table hahaha.

That's a lot of work just to have some ****head who knows nothing call your shoes "fakes". They look good though, bro.

soon as i find an extra pair of laser1s for around $100, I would love to do this. it beats spending +$1000 on a real pair.

i'm not a fan of customs but every once in a while you see really good work like yours

will the pain ever come or chip off with wear ?
