Juan Luis Guerra’s “Entre Mar y Palmeras” (a concert he recorded on a beach in DR) is now on HBO Max. To me, Juan represents the late 80’s and early 90’s. His music reminds me of going to DR as a kid or driving around with my pops. Timeless classics.

Eff Lin Manuel, B. Immortal Technique needs to throw him back in the garbage bin, B. Eff the term “Latinx” too but that’s a separate conversation. We’ll let it rock for this moment cause the real target rn is Lin “I make Hip Hop for White people” Manuel Miranda.

Thank goodness not everyone views hip hop in this way. Immortal technique is one of my favorite rappers but I welcome the diversity artists like Lin Manuel bring to the genre. It reminds me of when people used to look down on nerd rappers then somehow overnight backpack hip hop became popular. We can't all listen to hood sh:* 24/7

With that being said In the heights was terrible.

I meant literally. Immortal Technique knew Lin growing up, he used to throw him in garbage cans back in the day. In The Heights is trash and so was Hamilton. Lin is like Macklemore.

I know immortal tech knew Lin growing up. Immortal tech used to bully him but matured as he should, and they became friends.

Throwing trash cans at people is not something to be proud of.

Lin is a broadway performer who incorporates hip hop. So NOT macklemore. I'd argue he is hip hop in its purest form because of the story telling style of his music.

Someone on NT tried to compare him to Rakim and old school style flow, like it was a bad thing.

Oh wow, I see why you have smoke w/ him. He's from NY (Manhattan at that) & definitely knows better. In the Heights was an agenda.

That video was hard to watch. I can’t believe men are doing that their women. These guys act like they don’t have moms, sisters and aunts :smh:

No son hombres, son BASURA.
