I almost always have at least one regret on my mind 

In some cases I learned to live with it and moved on and in other cases I tried to make it right. I think all regrets can be put to rest to an extent with enough time, unless it was something bad enough.

In all cases I tried to learn from it and respond differently when a similar situation would arise. You will be tested again, it's funny how life works like that.

Yea like others said don't take it as a L, look for the lesson learned in the situation and don't make the same mistake twice.

Regrets will eat you up man... It took me years to learn to let go and learn from it..

If you allow it to eat you up inside, then it will...count your blessings, acknowledge that it coulda been worse, and most importantly LEARN & GROW from it man..

And don't try and drink or smoke the pain away.. That's only temporary, like putting a band aid on it.. Eventually you'll have to face your demons head on, better now than later right?

Man I'm going thru this right now. I did the dumbest thing and let down a lot of people. I lost the trust of my friends and now I'm facing it. The hardest thing was facing everyone and apologizing. I was trembling. I was fortunate to even have them let me apologize and give me a second chance. I just haven't shook it off though. It's been running thru my mind 24/7 this past week. Worst feels ever man.

Funny that this thread exists. I was literally just looking at ghandi and buddha quotes on self forgiveness.

I sometimes have a hard time forgiving others, and it's no surprise that I'm hard on myself when I let myself down or do something that wasn't wise. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and can be impatient, which is not the best combination. Also I need to be more mindful of my words and speak more positively about myself and life.

Just scrolling through a few buddha quotes has put my mind and soul at ease at the moment.

I posted this in the memtal health thread, but there have beem times where I experience shock (either by pain or panic) and the memory of that moment lingers in my mind, making it nearly impossible to focus clearly when I think about the incident or put myself in the location where it happened. I know it has to do with me not forgiving myself for allowing it to happen amd not being smarter. I really need to read more spiritual healing literature because I swear it's going to help me get over it.

Reminds me of a grudge that a held with an ex at one point, it's like it was impossible for me to get over what I was mad at. That same stubbornness causes so much turmoil and I've got to be more forgiving.

I've been working out a lot latwly and I'm going to start meditating and reading more. I let a lot of hectic things in my spirit throughout the day and I need a way to sooth things out.
