5/17When is the lottery date?
The young Thunder, Warriors, Magic, and Wolves have all been very terrible.
Given all the other factors (coaching, vets, minutes), it's pretty hard to stack these teams up against each other to make such a definite conclusion. And pretty pointless to predict where they might be in a few years in comparison to today's Damian Lillard.
Thank you.5/17
I'm just saying young KD, Russ, harden, Klay, steph, dray, KAT, Wiggins, etc were all better than Dlo, Randle and Clarkson. Maybe that's just my opinion
My Lillard comment was to point out how difficult it is to become perennial NBA all star talent and that our young players may never get to that level, whereas with those other young teams you could see the bright future star potential early on
That's exactly my point. I don't see it at all in these kids and frankly idk how others are seeing it. just watching these kids I don't see one of them being an all star and I also don't see them being lead franchise guys. They all seem like complimentary pieces at best. One of the reasons I hate the draft. It's no guarantee these kids will pan out or be stars.
We need to get a big time free agent.
Its half way through their rookie seasons bro, you need to walk yourself off that ledge my good fellow. Don't do it to yourself.
All of those players you mentioned resemble none of who they are today as they did their rookie years. Only time will tell unfortunately my man.
3 seasons of tanking has messed with my mental , I admit
But I gotta say, it just seems like we're gonna end up waiting and hoping for these guys to become great but they'll end up being Shaun Livingston, monta Ellis and Malik Rose

That's the eyeball test I talked about regarding DLO in the preseason
Not being able to break down a defense and create for himself or others is a major concern for a PG, and his inability to attack the basket is a glaring weakness
He has upside in that he can get strong and post up more and become a better shooter. But I'm afraid speed and quickness can't be developed
They don't have to be super stars to be valuable for us.
We just need them to be solid, contributing players. Once we have a good coach, and they've developed their bodies in the weight room, their IQ in the film room, and experience on the court over the next few years, all of them will be contributing role players AT THE LEAST.
That's ALL we need to draw in super star free agents.
Anything more than role players will be a bonus. You guys expect every draft pick to be KD or Harden, but it doesn't happen that easily man.
Livingston prior to his knee cap injury was going to be a star, if DLo ends up being anything like pre-injury Livingston then I'd count it as a W.
Bring the expectations down a notch and you'll see a lot of positivity and optimism in our core.

Thank you. How are you going to be an all star starting point guard in this league if you can't get by your guy without a ballscreen.
I've seen him do it a handful of times. That's point guard 101 to be able to break your man down and create for yourself and create for others,
He currently cannot do that. Not even close to on a consistent basis. And y'all claiming he has all star potential, miss me with that,
He develops that and some strength than we can talk about being an above average NBA player.
He can make some nice swing passes and some occasional pocket passes. Whoop Dee doo,
Get by your damn man and create a damn shot.
Get by your man and give a dump off pass to a big. Yea Hibbert sucks. But russell can't even get below the free throw line.
Bynum even showed flashes. I could tell he had a pretty good understanding of the game and good footwork at a young age.
And I'm not saying I'm giving up on russell. But I'm a realist. Y'all just clouded with the fact that he's the Lakers #2 pick and it's impossible for him to be bad. Newsflash he is.
Oh he's 19, give him time to grow. Fine.
Tell him to play harder than. Stop looking like you are jogging everywhere, this is the NBA. It's a men's game.
Good God.
DLo needs to hit the weights? No ****? The 19 year old needs to get stronger? Thank God we have you to point this out.
Cuz 19 year old Kobe was certainly a finished product.
Randle "isn't good" and is a double double machine, not playin 30 minutes a night.
They'll get there. It's called work. And they'll do it. That's what the off season is for, working.
It's how Steph, Klay, Durant, Ibaka, Garden, Griffin, Wall, Cousins etc all got better. Work.
Stop judging players off 50 ******* games. None of the names I just gave were great after 50 games. It takes time.
We didn't draft these kids for their rookie years, we drafted them for their career's. Which have barely even started.
They will learn. They will grow. They will improve. All it takes is work.
Kobe and Fisher spent their rookie years playing one on one, cuz they never saw the court during games. 4 years later.......
Rookies develop over time. Not overnight.
I do agree with mamba about DLo jogging everywhere tho. He acts too nonchalant on court, and he admitted that yesterday or the other day to the media.
So even he's said he can give more effort and not be so lackadaisical on the court.
At least he admitted it.
But yeah, the skill we can give patience on.
The effort? Not so much.
He needs to step the hustle up, whether he's 14 years old or 36.
He can definitely try harder.
Lulz at Bynum showed flashes.
Indeed, rookie Bynum played 46 games, shot 40% (as a 7 foot Center) to the tune of 1.6 points, and 1.7 rebounds per game. Averaging 7 minutes per game.
Yet, 3-4 years later, Bynum really grew into his game. Strange, players growing & all.
Even when they do absolutely nothing as rookies......
"I just knew Bynum was gonna be great his rookie year, errrrr, 10 years later."

Reading is fundamental. I said he had a good understanding of the game. I SAID nothing about stats, nothing. But keep listing those off.
Never said anything about what he was going to be in 10 years.
Oh yeah I need some more of these .
