Throw in Stallworth drunk driving and killing a man. I thought every thing was fair game after that. Standing up for blacks being killed without repercussions is where the line is drawn I guess.

My guess would be that it's their attachment to their possessions that's keeping them here. Their cars, boats, valuables, etc.

I have several family members that are stubborn as well and aren't going anywhere. We tried to convince my grandma to leave with us but she wouldn't, she would rather stay put with my aunt.

I remember during Sandy in NY, you couldn't find gas for days . I legit waited on line at a station one afternoon for over an hour and barely moved. Got frustrated and went back home. I finally got a minor refill from my cousin because he was allowed to be on a separate line due to being a federal employee.

The best was one night after that, I'm driving home and the station around the corner from me was empty & not roped off. I pulled in real quick to fill up a full tank.
