Looking for Feedback on my recent Nikestore.com order

On this passed Thursday Nike sent a Twitter update saying the had more of the exclusive Nike GS Soccer Cleats available.  I immediately clicked on the link and tried to add the item to my cart.  Generally this is a lost battle but in this case after a few attempts a pair magically entered into my cart.  I completed checkout right away and assumed all was great.  I got the email confirmation and awaited tracking.  On Monday afternoon I got an email stating my order was canceled.  I immediately called them and they said they had no stock.  I could not understand how it allowed me to purchase and complete checkout only to be told 3 days later that the item was oversold and that my order is canceled.  My question is has this happened to anyone before to get an order confirmation and then have the order canceled.  If so what did you do?  Do I have any recourse legally?  I was amazed when I actually added them to my cart and checked out and felt a knife go through my heart when they canceled it on me.  I have tried 13 straight releases on Nikestore and never even got an item into my cart and the one time I did they canceled it on me.  On a side note, does anyone have any tips and tricks to get an item in the cart when it is released?

Some more pain in the ***** Nikestore.com, had both pair of the Yeezy 2's in my cart, checked out, got email confirmation.... 5 days later.... got the dreaded we apologize email... from now on I don't even try!:smokin

I had that happen to me quite a few times and most recently with the KD ST, and eventhough I was able to place my order without any hitch and even received my confirmation email at exactly the same time they released, my order still ended up cancelled because apparently they oversold. It is always "the glitch." I wasn't even mad anymore.

Will always happen when ordering a hot release from the nike store. Just got to move on.

No, you don't have any grounds for legal recourse as Nike is able to cancel an order at any given time for any given reason. Same reason why places like Best Buy, Target, etc. don't have to honor misprints or incorrectly priced items. Your best bet is to just ask for a discount code and move on as you'll waste your time trying to attain shoes no longer available. The only release I've had cancelled were the N7s, but that was more-so to get a coupon code as I knew they had a glitch in their system...
