I don't see how this is a good look at all. It seems the new thing for rappers to do is sign or heavily affiliate themselves with a label being run (or just a figurehead ) by a famous rapper in the game knowing they'll never drop and won't get any promo and just be regulated to talking about their album coming soon on some Detox status while they ghostwrite, do some collabs, until they smarten up and go indie.

He just loves their artistry that's why he brings them in.

I doubt that. You can't pick up distribution deals not caring about sales. He cares. If he didn't care he'd just drop music for free on his website. He wouldn't put any marketing dollars into his albums. He would've never signed that Live Nation deal. He's rich but he still has to make money. Dude is just busy. He has a grip of endorsement deals and business ventures. Its not surprising that his record label has gone to the back burner.
