Man of Steel (Superman Movie Thread) - June 14, 2013 - NEW Trailer pg20

I enjoyed it, it had a solid story line, conflict, great action. Those fight scenes were wild. Anyone else catch that Lexcorp truck? Lex Luther? Lol they made Diane Lane look hella old, I only remember that chick from Unfaithful

Going to see this tonight at the drive-in along with Hangover 3..Even if both are just average movies I can't complain cause it's only costing me $8 for both..

don't watch hangover 3 its terrible, I was watching it online they should have just left it at part 1

This movie taught us that Batman, no matter how many innocent people die for no reason or important people taken from his life by maniacal psychopaths, he will still not take a life.

But superman will :lol :rollin :lol

I liked the film...the continuity was really the only issue for me, but it made sense when they showed how Lois investigated the story.

Costner did well as Jonathan...really well....Crowe was very regal in his role as Jor.....

I'm the type to try to understand the psychology of the villains in these movies and Michael Shannon brought a demented edge to Zod....He always gave you the impression that he'd snap at any moment....Very good performance...that scene where he stripped the armor off and they went at it was :hat. Faora was pretty hot to me....All the battle scenes were pretty much on point and what i expected.

I'm not even a Superman fan like that because of his God like abilities, but the flick did a good job of humanizing him.

I loved the fact that through the whole movie you see Zod in his armor but when it's time for him to throw down you get the superman 2 looking Zod.........................

I'm a huge marvel fan by the way :(

movie was great. I don't have anything bad to say about it.

Opening scene and all the fighting scenes were epic.

It Immediately jumps to the top of Super hero movies in my opinion

big thanks to dude who posted that link for the poster above :Nthat

See I'm thinking Lex and maybe Metallo or Parasite in 2. I think he needs someone to hit in 2 as well lol. I would rather it not be Metallo though so we can skip the kryptonite. I think you can finish it with Braniac in 3. My only problem with Doomsday is how he will be used. For the most part he's just a mindless beast.

I really want to see Superman go crazy on film.

How would they do that without the Justice League?

Could be possible if he fights another Superman from another dimension but the plot is overused.

Saw it last night, loved it. Much better than iron man 3 or fast 6 which are other movies I have seen this summer

Who would make a good lex luther? Someone that could play a good A-hole. Kevin Spacey sucked big time

Prequel comic is online:

Mind blown!!!

Read the comic before clicking the next spoiler...

Reveals who was in the empty pod on the ship.
lol I knew it!!! That is too ill! All these easter eggs make the movie even better...I really want to watch it a second time now.

I'm not a big Supes fan but I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

Nolan trilogy>MOS>Avengers>IM

Alright...I seen this film yesterday and after it was all done I didn't know if I liked or hated the film. The more I thought about it the only real positive thing to say about the film was that the action/fight sequences were crazy.

The story was boring. Couldn't wait for the film to finish. While boring I do feel each character was well cast. Kevin Costner was GREAT. I did not like the retelling of the origin of Superman. It was a tad bit too much. Funny to say but I felt they tried too hard to make him human. Too hard to make it all realistic. Superman's story was enough.

A lot of people didn't like Superman Returns. I didn't care for it either but I felt it was well cast. Except the fact that due to the script Brandon Routh was good as Clark Kent but was stale as Superman. Superman Returns had a HORRIBLE script. Henry Cavill didn't give me that farm boy vibe. He came off as bit of a jerk even though he was calm and awkward. But he was great has Superman. He really gave off that heroic feel without seeming too God like.

Michael Shannon as Zod was good. Maybe it was the script but he didn't feel like a villain just a desperate man. Faora was BAD ***. Didn't care for Amy Adams as Lois Lane. She wasn't bad or good. Enh...

This film will suffer the same fate of The Dark Rises from the masses. A lot of people loved it but when they see it again or wait for the DVD release in October people will not feel as good as they did about the film. After it all settling in it felt like a lot happened but nothing that I cared about after the film was over.

Just saw it
Clark's earth mom was sexy to me idk why like under that oldness I could tell she was good looki
Faora or whatever her name was was a beast them fighting scenes was dope as ****
Ending was kinda :{ but Zod was putting in work
Anybody think brainiac could be in the next one. I thought one of the robots would be like a clue for the next one
Eyes kinda felt a tingle with the tornado
I could see why people gave it that score like its not bad but when u think about it the scope of superman is just TOOO much. I wanted to see more scenes when he was a kid though. Maybe just an origin film woulda been better cause the jumping around didn't give me a chance to have any emotional ties to him that's the only problem

I think one of my favorite scenes in the film was when General Zod was lecturing the council right before he was sentenced to the Phantom Zone. Michael Shannon is such a solid actor man.

Oh, and every scene that Faora was in. She was :hat :hat :hat

Maybe someone like Mark Strong. He's already playing Sinestro though.

If Idris Elba looked like Boris Kodjoe that would be a good Lex Luthor

If they do a black Lex, already know it's gonna be Terrance Howard

"I'm gonna destroy you Superman MANE!!"
