started playing yesterday and im addicted! although i havent gotten far and you have to probably pay for any character you want to use but its fun for what it is

You don't have to pay, on very rare occasions, the characters will drop as loot and then you can play them. The game is free to play and the only way they can make money is by selling characters, costumes, exp boosts, etc... Micro-transactions keeps these types of games alive.
