About to pop this in the PS3. Never really played MvC 3 so this will take some practice. But I'm already calling it. Deadpool, Phoenix, and ... Wesker maybe?

honestly, you need to play the game. unless you're familiar with tvc this will all be new to you, IMO. some of the characters ppl are talking about maining aren't user friendly at all. it'll take some getting used to the system before we figure out how to play these characters the right way. its not like mvc2 where you could kind of incorporate what went on in mvc1...at least IMHO.

moves that used to be one way are different now...as far as directional inputs, buttons used, etc.
the combo system is different...tagging in and out is different...
it just feels different. hit boxes and the speed of the game take some getting used to.

but the game is SICK.

im not good at mvc2 like i said but im better than average on ssf4 i know it doesnt matter...those that got the game does it have trial for every character? i got 5$ amazon credit im thinking of getting the guide for 6$ since its 11$ right now

Is this game any way like MvC2 at all?
I don't wanna play a game that's barely a step up from TvC, which is just a watered down MvC2.
And yes, I've played TvC. Only on arcade, though. So, I'm guessing I already have a head start.

this game has marvel qualities but the button system and tagging in and out is different. it takes getting used to. its definitely worth the purchase.
i've never played tvc, myself...i'm a marvel player. i say get it. this will dwarf ssfIV. watch.

yes, every character has a trial. the trials are hard towards the end of them. no this game isn't watered down...which begs the question, why simplify the button layout if the game is complex????

some games ill pay off over time, by putting in 5$ here and 5$ there...instead of buying it the day of and shelling out 65$ at once

Sooooo I never played TVC, but played a lot of MVC, MVC2, etc and this game feels like a whole new game to me. I beat the game easily already but I really miss the old school button layouts. I feel like anyone can button mash with these and actually put up a decent fight against another average Joe.

Here's what I learned from playing so far. Sentinel is a BEAST and will be a popular character online. Arthur is a waste of space, I would've been happier with Servbot. My team for now is Dante, Akuma and yes Sentinel.

So the average Joe can play and be good at it, as well.
I learned to play TvC in roughly 30 seconds of playing, so this shouldn't be too hard.
