Mass Shooting Thread: Waiting on the next one.

I go to basketball coaching clinics in VA, open carry state, but guns aren't allowed.

You are mistaking open carry with, "I can take my gun any and everywhere." An event can ban firearms in an open carry state.

By that logic, folks in open carry states can bring guns into any venue but we know you can't take a pistol into American Airlines Arena

Need to start locking parents up too. Why this dude has such easy access to deadly weapons is beyond me. Also his dad was on some fox news Breitbart **** apparently. It all starts at home. Ideaology was planted into his head and look what it turned into. Lock both of them up.

how was a 17 year old able to get all these firearms...parents of course.
whole family needs to die

Ah ok....still kind of silly since it is a convention about guns...is like banning cars at a car meet :lol

But I see your point, sort of

I have to wonder what would happen if one of these mass shootings was carried out at an NRA convention...what kind of carnage would unfold with all these gun nuts in one building

Think about how helpless people were in Las Vegas...and you would have to assume a good chunk of the concert attendees were concealing.

Gun violence is a MAJOR problem that will never be addressed because of big bucks. Simple as that...and sad.

It is a conference/convention. Show me any conference or convention that guns are allowed in.

I understand being anti-NRA but in THIS inatance it isn't logical to trip over that.

But that is a minor point, we don't have to dwell on it

My wife and her dad went to the gun show at the Dulles Expo last year...she and him stuck out like a sore thumb, but yea....open/concealed carry ALL over.

Find it so funny how the nra said no guns at their conference a little while ago

I thought gun free zones are stupid and don’t work, and only enable would be shooters?

Wouldn’t there be plenty of good guys with guns to stop them?

This is a concept worth exploration. The guns these teens use come from their worthless parents most of the time. They are at fault for letting them have access to it. But I guess if your kid turns up to shoot schools you’re ******* trash to begin with. The parents need a consequence. Maybe then we’d have less ***** *** parents laying their guns around that they shouldn’t have in the first place

Not faulty at all.

They claim the problem is that there are not enough good guys with guns and that places that ban guns (schools, churches, malls, restaurants) are easy targets.
And since all NRA members are a bunch a good guys (especially those willing to pay those convention fees to be there), it shouldn't make sense to ban them from having guns.

They're all trustworthy, right?

If you own a gun for any reason besides self defense, ya moms a ho’!

And the conspiracy theories have begun:smh:

So funny how nobody (news publications) really cares about the school shooting because the “Royal Wedding” in England is considered more important :smh:

“This is America”
- Childish Gambino

It is currently more dangerous to be a student than a soldier.

Seeing HUGE coverage on both events right now

If you want to make a change you have to understand what talking points are real and whats not.

The gun manufacturers and gun lobby in this country are a drop in the bucket in comparison to most big industries.

The people who are really progun vote, period.

In the Grand scheme of things the NRA doesn't cut big checks.

How are you getting that no one cares about this in the media? The shooting is a MAJOR talking point right now.

Also, I think you're severely underestimating just how much of a big deal this wedding is.

Are you being sarcastic? that was a fact based report.
You can make stats "prove" any story.

If you honestly believe being a soldier is safer than being a student, I will simply say I disagree.

We can leave it at that, I just feel that is an example of sensationalism

Vast majority of soldiers “fighting” are safe in bases. Other “fights” are done from a computer miles and miles away. This ain’t the movies

This latest incident got people picking the dumbest, most inconsequential hills to die on. I guess this has gone on so long without any progress that at this point people are running out of **** to talk about.

And the VAST majority are students aren't getting shot up.

To say it is SAFER to be a soldier, simply based on FATALITIES, is completely disrespecting and disregarding all othet measures of SAFETY.

If that is the only measurement being used, it serves nothing more than being a headline.

Safety can't just be measured by DEATHS especially when comparing two unlike settings.

Again, sensationalism
