You'll get conflicting information about this. The military discount is supposed to be applicable to all releases at Footlocker or any of its other stores, but the salesperson may still say no.

What he said, certain releases are excluded from any type of discount (Military, VIP, Employee) but since Ive been here most releases are a ok with Military but cant exceed a certain percentage of the shoes sold. Alot of times it IS manager discretion though, the manager might be the one making the "rule" but its not a company thing.
what about for the lebron 11 coming out this weekend? was thinking of heading to champs to pickup this weekend so i can use my military discount.. if not I would get them from eastbay to save on taxes.
awesome man thanks.. there is a footaction, champs, and ftl in the mall, so hopefully one of tem will give me the discount.I wasnt saying you were wrong Bigj, What I meant by "What he said" was that you were right, I was just adding on a little bit of info thats all!.
Since ive been working here, Its not very often the company kills ANY type of discount, but you do have those managers that wont do it on any release date product, which is stupid especially if its gonna sit past the initial morning release.
For the Lebron XI it has not been excluded, It is eligible for Military but again comes down to the manager, so just check in with them before hand, so your not stuck Sat. Morning.
I've been told by several HOH employees that it applied to all releases. I went to a different HOH and was told that the discount couldn't be applied on certain shoes (example: mint hyperposites)not ALL releases. FTL as a company puts certain products on the exemption list. They even disallow employee discounts on some shoes. If it's a hyped up release.... you probably aren't getting a discount; at least consistently. If its a product that's been sitting for a few days, then the probability increases... I think they remove the no discount restriction after 7 days.

Also, when the Toro 4s came out, I was told that I could use my military discount for those as well. I'm solely speaking from experience here, but from what I can tell it is very much discretionary like most things involving FTL employees.
It actually goes by location. Different owners have different rules. In towns close to military bases they usually let you use it on everything so does many local places. The employees have the option to add the discount to any item. My footlocker/footaction doesnt do it on any shoe with a release date, and before under a different franchise owner you had to wait 2 weeks but after getting cool with the manager I get it applied to all my kicks except certain Limited releases where everyone is going to be questioning. I am military in a mlitary town.at cumberland In GA they let me use it on any shoes at the champs. But the company does not decide what locations give a discount and who doesn't. Thats why they say at participating locations.
Footlocker footaction etc.. all can have a franchise owner, meaning you if you had the money and credibility can run your own stores under footlocker, and if you wanted to make a discount on any new release you have that option. but that money comes out of your bottom line based off the credit they give you. A franchise owners responsibility is to make the company money. The employees have the option to add the discount to any item but if it gets looked into they would have to explain. That is the reason different stores have different limitations. If footlocker made the rules there would be no discounts on any items they restrict on the websites. But at the end of the day the manager can give you a discount on anything. I have already looked into this years ago.riiiiiiiight. footlockers aren't like mom and pop shops where owners can run things the way they want to. you are definitely misinformed.
Whatever man, I'm just telling you what goes down when I go to cop shoes. The exclusions certainly aren't uniform, I know that much. In my area, there IS a 'right' house of hoops, and discounts* happen to apply to ALL shoes, and their inventory is better than the HOH with the employees that were quick to shoot down discounts on even the most remedial kicks.guess I don't know what im talking about even tho I support what I say with facts. OP will get discounts on HOT releases as long as he goes to the right house of hoops. Footlocker does not send emails to managers excluding products. Its all the evil employees that hold the man down.
I work for Footlocker and they are NOT franchised, dont know who gave you your info but that is not the case...Some stores allow the discount and some dont based on manager.
