** MLB Feet - 2008 Baseball Cleats (Pics) **

^ They're crazy all right... but I'm not sure if I'm liking them. White cleats can look kind of girly regardless, especially when you add somebaby blue. Some of you guys that are more into basketball might disagree (and I'll take a white and carolina blue sneaker any day), but I've justnever been a fan of white cleats...

On the other hand...

Now that's a good lookin' cleat.

And Tech's was just wearing the Black/Orange 2K5 (not a PE)

We had Bobby Abreu up until last year...problem is guys that are in NY are priced at a super hugh premium even if they arent stars...Cano would be a greatsign but when push comes to shove we will never be NIKE in the money department...instead we sign solid young players (Pedroia, Ethier, Kemp, Bay, etc.) and gofrom there....sometimes we get fortunate that an extisting player goes to a big market via trade/free agency and we have the in from his previous .....LuisCastillo and Bobby Abreu are prime examples of thus.

Ichiro also wears Asics... quite common in japan...

Wish we could get a better look at fukudome's cleats... I like the color...

So far I have noticed Ichiro, Fukudome, and Piazza (last couple years) wear asics. Ichiro I believe has his own signature line. Every year asics makes themlighter in weight then the year before. I'm sure by now they are a feather. Probably around 9-11 ounces (hopefully the quality is up to par).

^ Yeah... they just debuted them last night. They didn't even hold a press conference like teams normally do when they unveil a new look, basically inhopes of shocking their fans into buying the new jerseys... I'm not impressed with them, though. No red in the letters or numbers (everything's justnavy with a white outline), and what upsets me more is that there's no triple-piping (Atlanta's signature look) in the jersey at all. And the hatswere all navy (no red brim)... it just made for a really boring look.

I love the jersey and the hat. But i don't think it's an alternate. I think it's a throwback because mlbshop.com doesn't have anything on itother then the hat and the hat it self is not a New Era so it's a no go for me. From watching the game though I think the hat on the field was a definiteNew Era with the Mlb logo on the back (the website one is different).

I'll just have to wait until New Era produces the alternate to the masses. Does that mean the braves have two alternates. The red and the blue one.
