So I've been on the road all morning (working), shuffling between 660 WFANand ESPN Radio, and both stations (mainly 660) were trying to come up with a good nickname for the "Eli Scramble-to-Tyree catch". There are simplenicknames already used, such as "The Immaculate Reception", and "The Drive", etc......but after an entire day of taking calls and coming upwith different names, nothing stuck out.

What do you guys think would be a brief, short nickname that would best describethe ENTIRE play (has to be catchy as well)?

Some notables I've heard throughout the day that stuck out:

a) Catch 22

b) The "Hail Manning"

c) 10-85 (Police Code)

d) The Slip -n- Grip

As for me, I have no damn idea.

Just make sure it FULLY DESCRIBES the play, the Eli scramble, the deep pass, the catch.

I believe David Tyree called it "A Mother's Touch" since he had lost his mother this year.

c) 10-85 (Police Code)
I like that actually.

I was thinking of "The Play". Everyone will be talking about that play for ever. I know I'll be passing it down to my kids when I'm older.

Oh, I'm a Jets fan, if that matters.

no. "the play" belongs to cal-stanford. nothing will ever change that

, there's NO way in hell any play will overtake that distinction.

something like "hail manning" sounds good
