Hahaha... didn't take long for Iverson to douche out and live up to his "TEAM CANCER" mo...

Wish this guy would just retire. I'm tired of seeing him tarnish his legacy by failing to realize he's simply at the last stage of his career and NOT afranchise player anymore. Dude's going to end up eating vaseline on camera like Starbury if he isn't careful...

^ and sadly I agree...I heard the report about "look at my resume" on ESPN a couple of hours ago and all I could do was moan quite similarly like himmaybe and annoyingly chant "what are you doing!!!???"....It's only one game, you're just coming off an injury, we know who you are.....RELAXALREADY!....you haven't played much in the preseason, and the team is trying to get a groove, don't alienate yourself with stupid commentsaready!....It really did shake my perception of him a little, especially I have constantly defended him in the Detroit debacle and other issues...this one wasjust senseless!....AI realise what your situation is....be the "Rookie" you say u need to be to prove yourself and just do you thing. You're aWarrior...show it, stop spelling it out!

I'm not trying to defend AI but I think he really is effective as a starter rather than coming off the bench, anyway the coach must have been monitoringhis minutes anyway coming of the injured list

^ and i believe that too...cuz I do think eventually he'll start (hopefully alot sooner than later).....but after one game, after an injury and not playingin the preseason, you cant come in and expect 30+ minutes already- in your first game back. he can't go to the media with that...was just a bad move. hehas to realise he's tryin to kickstart and continue his career as well as his image/persona....yea AI will always be the dude that started the conrowtrend, wore the tats and had the mean crossover, proved his competitive and offensive capabilties nightly...and that won't stop...but he has to be a littlemore aware of the circumstances and remember his stint there in Memphis, more than anything he has done on his "resume" is what will determine himconsidering early retirement or ending up here in Europe or being respected as the one of the historical superstars which he is......sorry for the AI rant, bigfan and was really disappointed by that act...I'm certain though it's just a passion laden tantrum:

I think AI is no longer the player he was, and is only in Memphis to sell tix. He's a step slower and has a bigger head than ever before. Its sad that after only 1 game, he's already living up to the destructive, team-killing expectations that everyone predicted for him... at least thePistons had vets to deal with AI's distractions, and even then, they are almost a completely new team this year. Sadly, he may succeed at totally tearingthe young Grizz to shreds... I'm just waiting for the Mayo-Gay-AI feud to boil over more into the media.

Its sad that the Grizz dissed Rudy Gay - their one true superstar worth any real money.

But alas, as an NBA fan in Seattle, I'd be lying if I said I'm not hoping that all of this is part of Michael Heisley's diabolical plan to sell offhis team to Steve Ballmer and turn the Grizz into the next Seattle Supersonics.

Grizz fans beware: outside of being poisoned with a cancer like AI, a lot of what is happening to your team right now happend to our beloved SuperSonics rightbefore they were ripped out of hands (and hearts)...

Sorry for the rant... something must have triggered my Sonics emotions...
