D Will's attitude and CP3's knee (they completely removed his meniscus to speed up his return!) will prevent them from being high-impact players well into their mid 30's. I know they're both great right now, but I feel like we're being force-fed "D Will is the greatest PG in the league" from the likes of Mark Jackson, Reggie Miller, Kenny Smith, and the same NBA marketing machine that's trying (and failing) to make me believe we need a Kobe-LeBron Finals.
Steve Nash is still the most successful PG in the league, which these playoffs have clearly shown. Wish they would've released the Cradle Rock stateside... HD lows are trash (which is probably why Steve isn't rocking them).

D Will's attitude? Not calling you out or anything but I never got the impression that he was lacking in that department.
His very public attitude about and after the Brewer trade... I'm pretty old school and think that professionals paid millions of dollars should keep their mouths shut and do their jobs no matter how bad stuff gets... I felt for D Will after the trade, especially given his freindship with Brewer, but c'mon. Nash kept quiet when Shaq ripped him off on that "Versus" tv show idea, and when the Suns traded his best friend on the team, Raja Bell.
I thinks Deron is a great player, but he looks like he's been wearing a "can't wait for this to be over" expression during the playoffs this year.
I can't wait for the Curry-Jennings debate to pick up in the coming years, but something makes me think it will end up being a Ray Allen-Allen Iverson sort of debate.

That was no chest-bump. Nate was thinking the same thing, so he threw himself under the bus. He was a brave, brave man...Originally Posted by bundy9

to this day it STILL bothers me that nash is a back-to-back MVP, especially when you could say a guy like jkidd did a lot more in ALL facets Of the game for those nets final teams...so using the rationale that dwill and cp3 "will never do something like that" is a given because nash irrefutably has the 2 most questionable MVPs in recent history BACK-TO-BACK, and that definitely won't happen again...i understand that for a guard the 50-40-90 is remarkable but c'mon, your boy nashty averaged 15 & 12 in '05 & 19 & 11 in 06'...great numbers for a pg no doubt but not nearly mvp type numbers (john stockton pretty much did that throughout his career) and laughable compared to other multiple mvp winners numbers, much less cats that have won it back-to-back!!!
AND both dwill & cp3 aren't far behind with their numbers (with neither is the slouch on D that nash has been) that have played for good consistent winning squads, so why wouldn't they be able to get that recognition given that both are producing superior numbers at this point in their careers (aged 25 & 24 respectively)??? for someone to say that doesn't make sense because, because arguably those guys have reached a comparable level of success ALREADY! nash's MVPs were feel good MVPs, whether subconsciously because of the style of play, or even worse yet consciously due to circumstance, to me, it is no coincidence that the very years that nba had to deal with the worst image & public relations problems (malice in the palace, the kobe in denver deal, gun charges) that nash wins back to back MVPs...
when you look at all the pgs in the L today, dwill is probably the most complete (ever so slight nod over cp3 for athleticism, durability, & size); and given the number of really good guys at the 1, both young and old, at the position that says a lot...so it is overdue & well deserved attention he is getting now
