But what has he won?

This needs to be put into perspective. Since 1999:

Lakers (Kobe x 5, Shaq x 3) have 5 chips
Spurs (Timmy) have 5 chips
Warriors (Steph x 3, KD x 2) have 3 chips
Heat (Wade x 3, Lebby x 2, Shaq x 1) have 3 chips
Celtics (KG/PP/Ray) have 1 chip
Cavs (Lebby) have 1 chip
Mavs (Dirk) have 1 chip
Pistons (Chauncey) have 1 chip

So in 20 years only eight franchies have won championships. Of those eight, there’s about 12 or so (if your generous) players who were great. By your logic that would mean there were only 11 meaningful players over the past 20 seasons. Who cares about anyone else from the past seasons, right because what did they win?

And if you want to keep it REALLY funky my dude, look back the past 28 seasons and you’re adding 8 season yet only adding 2 teams (Bulls and Rockets) and I’ll be generous and say 3 players (Jordan, Hakeem and Pip).

So over the past 28 seasons only 15 players can be considered great or meaningful because they can say they won a championship. No one else matters because what did they win, right? Do you see how that sounds? Please, ook in the mirror and say that to yourself. Afterwards, wash your face then come back and tell us what was going through your mind at that moment and how it made you feel. We look forward to your response.

P.S. - I think we would all prefer if the goal posts stayed in the position you originally left them. Thanks!

So over the past 28 seasons only 14 players can be considered great or meaningful because they can say they won a championship. No one else matters because what did they win, right? Everything in this post is what separates the true goats from the runner ups. Paul Pierce notwithstanding

I agree those 13, 14 players are GOATs. Oh ****, I forgot Shaq hahah will edit. Anyhow, to as if everyone else was a CPA, train conductor, FootLocker stock boy or barista during that time period is over the top. There were a lot of other players who were really good in their primes over that time. However, their skills are diminished because they didn’t win a title? That doesn’t make sense.

Westbrook with the classic Triple double avoidance in games where he plays bad and lost to not tarnish his triple double legacy. I see you bro.

27 shots a game to lay bricks. Amazing.

Long after he’s retired, his career is going to be romanticized soooo much based on the three consecutive triple double seasons, total number of triple doubles and what his career averages will probably look like

I mean..basically. Just the nature of winning and losing. You agreed that the winners are the real GOATs so you kinda have to diminish the losers in order to properly acknowledge the winners. Nothing wrong with losing let's just keep it in perspective and not put a guy like Chris Paul in the same breath as a Magic Johnson

EYE can only speak for myself but I would never do that. Magic is the second greatest point guard of all-time. ALL-TIME, LEE. Having said that, I would say Chris Paul is a really good point. And I think the winning vs losing comes in. Would you agree that winners are the great ones but that doesn’t mean the runner-ups can’t be good-to-really good? Word to guys like AI and Karl Malone’

@nickmaz96 What it look like out there bruhhhh.

Nets being messed with? K kingjay718

Nope. A lot of the reaidents are still upset at all the people displaced due to the Barclays Center being built here and all the gentrification that has turned this one gritty mom and pop area to Manhattan West. :lol

Brooklyn is mostly Knicks fans by birth (Spike Lee), Transplants who root for their hometown teams, or______.

Most of the people that attend come so they can root for their favorite player on the opposite team or the opposite team in general.

But the Nets being in Bklyn than in the Meadowlands swamp.

It's very hard to get back to Jersey from Barclays. Everytime I've gone to Barclays for something it ends up taking me over two hours to get home.

The Prudential Center is legit and Newark is totally different from what it was a decade ago, the Nets should move back to Jersey.

Can’t find my old posts but told y’all along with a couple others that said Thunder not impressing me.

I still stick with my blazers in 7 pick but could be earlier

So if Dame makes it to the 2nd Round and then loses, does that make him not a winner as well?
Way less help and lesser roster than Westhugbrick

Also Dame lost his starting center arguably second best/most important player Nurkic to a horrific injury.

Most players who play professionally for NYC based Teams live in NJ, and personally I would’ve love to see them get their own gym in Newark or Jersey City. That was their main problem. Attendance/accessibility. It was a maiden voyage to get to Brendan Byrne Arena. And the building itself felt cold and dreary. Even when the Devils were winning in that building.

The apex of that gym was 2003 when the Nets and Devils were in the Finals of their respective leagues.
