For some reason, when I think of Toronto, I think of decent weather with days not getting too cold and sun coming out often. And I think of places like Chicago and Minneapolis being cold and dreary with dark snowy nights.

We're similar to Chicago in a lot of aspects. We're both on a great lake, similar architecture, weather. I think (might be wrong about this) they get colder than us cuz they are below the great lakes so the lake(s) haven't had an effect on the wind/weather when it hits them.
