I think you missed my point . Jokic had the ball, he shoots 82% from the line. At best you're down 5 with 20 seconds left. It's not a winning strategy. Spurs had plenty opportunities to win before that point. Game was over

I don't think you understand sport betting and that's completely fine. So you're not understanding what I'm saying. I'll take your example. down by 5 with 20 seconds left at best right? Say spurs misses their next shot and fouls again to extend the game. Denver hits another 2 FTs now the spurs are down by 7 right? WELL what do you know?!....now Nuggets COVER their -6 spread and nugget bettors win,..... Instead of Spurs losing by 4pts and covering their +6 spread and Spurs bettor wins (which what happened). Gambling is a big industry. $$$$ dictates everything. All I'm saying is in that situation you foul every time, it's not rocket science and anyone at any competitive level knows this. All I'm stating is that it was fishy and weird and it was a possible motive they didn't foul because it can dictate who wins their bet which is very real in the sports world if you're not naive about it.

Nah man. Spurs gave up like 3 offensive rebounds in a crucial moment down the stretch. At that point it's like..welp. They weren't about to win playing the foul game when you're down more possessions than there is time left in the game. It never happens like that. My guy said if they fouled they wouldn't have covered the 6 point spread, meaning they damn sure weren't gonna win..so why even foul? Pointless
Stop trolling

Yeah it's unlikely they win but it's not pointless. Same reason why you see a ton of empty netters in elimination games in hockey. Could be down 3-1 but they'll go empty net for the last 3 min. Different compared to the regular season

The spread thing is funny as hell though. Tyreke Evans went to foul the C's down 6 with 3 seconds left, running from halfcourt, at the end of game 2

Line was C's -7.5 and they won by 8. Horrible beat btw

Trust me I get it. But in this case it didn't make sense to foul from a basketball perspective let alone a gambling perspective. The thing about the lines is that they change during every time out. If I'm a Spurs player shaving points, I'm not even taking the opening line. I'm conspiring with someone and telling them to wait until the spread jumps to double digits and then take that. I'm just a guy on the internet and I knew the nuggets would jump out to a big lead early and then the Spurs would close the gap. After those offensive boards and demar's missed free throws they lost their fight. It was a wrap

I was just about to mention that pacers Celtics game. The total line opened low and kept dropping the entire game, every single time. The game was out of reach and they went crazy fouling down the stretch. Ended up covering every single over. Now THAT game was fishy as ****. This game it made sense that they just gave up

What? lol.....I'm starting to believe you're really just joking and trolling me now man. Have a good night haha.

How does it not make sense to foul?

Nuggets got the ball with what, 27 seconds left? Spurs foul, Nuggets miss both FT's, Spurs hit a three to make it a one point game with ~20 seconds left.

Granted that's an unlikely situation but it could still happen.

And this just doesn't make sense. Down 5 with 20 seconds left. By the time they miss that next shot there's less than 10 seconds left. Absolutely no point in fouling from either a basketball or gambling perspective. Already a two possession game with a chance to make it three and 10 seconds left. Concede defeat

You said the Spurs should've fouled from a basketball perspective. Then you said if they fouled they would've lost by 6+ points..so how does that makes sense from a basketball perspective? You're admitting that the game was over and there was no point in fouling. Goodnight bro bro

Binge watching tomorrow. I just bought “sling” on my iPhone just to watch the playoffs. It was only 15. Hulu tryna charge 45$ for for live tv. So they can afford to pay giannis for all those corny commercials

I think what bro is saying is
Going over ya head lemonlee
Edit: not that I agree they didn’t foul because of a sports bet

It's not over my head man. I get what he's saying about the spread. But this man said he didn't understand why they didn't foul. And then in the next breath he said if they fouled chances are they would've still lost anyway. THAT'S why they didn't foul. Maybe Patty Mills did have money on the game but it didn't make sense regardless.

As I'm watching the game I'm sitting there thinking ok..if the Spurs are gonna win they NEED to get a stop here and then come back with a quick bucket and then you still need a miracle to get another stop and score. Zero margin of error. Instead they gave up like 3 offensive boards on one possession. At that point I'm not worried about desperation fouls down the stretch because THAT was my chance and I blew it 3 times. After that you just tip your hat and book your plane tickets

I have no idea why the Spurs didn't foul. 27 seconds is an eternity. Say nuggets make 1 of 2 FTs and then you come down and hit a quick 3. It's now a 2 point game with 20 seconds left.

All in all you just need to hit a couple 3s and get a break or two (missed FT, turnover, bad call by a ref).

Anyway I'm happy the nuggets won.

Lol these comments after Game 1 at Toronto

Kawhi and Siakam both literally had career highs and shot 80% from the field. Not a single other player on their team was in double digits, didn’t have a single bench player score a point til midway through the third quarter and the rest of their team outside of Kawhi and Siakam shot 32%.

Toronto is the favorite and this was Game 1 at home for them, so they did what they were supposed to do. But we’ll see what happens when Kawhi and Siakam aren’t both having the game of their lives.

Time to fire Pop. Couldn’t get past first round with basically kobe and Karl Malone 2.0’s. Not to mention bertans basically as close to nowitzki as they come. Too much talent to lose
