He's a great player, no one is doubting that. His averages are great but if you look at if on a game-by-game basis, it's becoming more of good game, followed by bad game, followed by good game, etc. My beef is that there are so many media members and fans ready to make up a reason Steph had a bad game. He's the only player who just can't play poorly. If he goes 7 for 20 the narrative becomes, "it's his ankle/knee", "he just doesn't look right", etc. but the moment he back to playing well, these stories go away all of a sudden.

So you’ve never heard of Joel Embiid?

we need this to happen. kawhi v. giannis is head and shoulders above any other potential match up in the playoffs.

bucks/toronto would be more competitive than GSW/Houston

Any combo of matchups in the east would probably be competitive TBH.

You have some of the worst takes

I mean she’s an accomplished sports journalist. I don’t think she wants to be known as big titty sports woman for her entire life by showing them off every chance she gets.

I'm known in here as the big **** NTer and I'm fine with it

steph's gonna drop 20+ in the first quarter and lay all this "he's pedestrian in the playoffs" talk to rest. #stephFMVP back on track

Klay's fine as long as you don't expect him to be a #1 option. Rockets switch which forces Klay into things that aren't really ideal to his skillset, but he's fine. He's a 6'7 JJ Redick with defense which is great and valuable, but you definitely need a primary shot creator and scorer beside him.

not only do you need another primary scorer who can create off the dribble, you need an offense that is constantly running multiple off ball screens and pindowns that allow klay to get open. i appreciate klay's game on both ends of the court but we're lying if we ignore just how much he's benefitted from defenses cheating off of him to run at steph or KD on the perimeter or not constantly having the opponent's best defender guarding him.

he doesn't even need to have the kyrie sauce but until he can put the ball on the floor, klay's never going to be a #1

Don’t expect it to happen again but maybe Kerr spamming the death lineup is starting to take a toll?

How many boards y’all think KD gets tonight?
He had 3 on Saturday.

You literally couldn't dream of a better position for Klay to succeed. He plays in a motion offense that's constantly running screens for him and like you running screens for him to get open in like you mentioned he's the third option so he never has to face a double team and teams don't key in on him unless he gets hot.

I think Klay is smart enough to know that he's in a great spot and would be dumb to leave but money talks. As a fan, I would love to see if it his game is able to change enough for him to become a number one option.

Yes.

He’s cocky enough and good enough that he literally thinks he can eat/drink whatever he wants whenever he wants and still dominate. And most of the time he can. But then there’s times where it actually bites him.

I had to get a hotel 30+ minutes away last night because literally every single hotel in Philly and the surrounding area was sold out for some giant Cinco De Mayo festivities and bar crawl here. Magically, Embiid of all people is sick as **** again the morning after this.

And the other Sixer that struggled, Ben Simmons, is the one other Sixer that’s known to go out like that. I’m not buying this just being a coincidence.

Frustrating I’m sure, but Toronto still hasn’t figured how to generate offense outside of Kawhi. 89, 95, 101 since G1.

Getting another one in Toronto is very possible.

The amount of post celebrating a potential split between one of the greatest dynasties the league has seen is wild :smh:

GSW till the world stop :nthat:

It's just not fun to watch the same loaded team steamroll through the playoffs year after year. They have such a large talent gap over the rest of the league that it's not fun anymore.

The first year with Kevin Durant was interesting because we didn't know what to expect and we didn't know how KD would change the dynamic of the team but since then it's been boring.

On top of that, they've been sleepwalking through the last couple of regular seasons and even first round of the playoffs because they know they can turn it on whenever they want. Who wants to watch a teeam give half effort for most of the season?

If you're a Warriors fan I totally get it, I would want to watch my team dominate forever but as a general fan of the NBA it's not fun or compelling to watch.
