I don't think its a limited to hollywood. Rich and powerful people i'm sure do all sorts like stuff like this from all types of businesses. Hollywood is just more visible. You hear about preachers all the time.

exactly this happen before in the 90's when he, oprah and mj tried to buy nbc and wanted to add more urban and minority programming...
what happened...um cosby rape/drug stuff got brought up again, mj gambling and mafia ties connections popped up and he retired... and well oprah...she just all together changed her show and format...
same when tony draper, damon dash, j prince went after universal and wanted to take over the music biz...

There's definitely "boy know your place " systems built in, I don't doubt Bill pissed someone off, but I also don't doubt he did these things (number is absurd now, plus he actually mentions doing it freely in his comedy special), nor that these same people once covered it up.
