Finally went ahead and contacted Amazon to get my hook up for the "inconvenience" these ****** sound no better than a scalper on eBay, talking about once the manufacturer releases stock they can give me a shipping date. Y'all standing in line on release day with everybody else?

Thurs: clean up tv unit..make room for this tiny *** console
Friday: get to work 8:30..11am fly to GS..pick up preorder...stop at Target right after..back to work..5pm fly home..fire this up..beat Street Fighter real quick with Ryu ..3 or 4 levels in F-Zero..then embark on a Super Mario RPG journey (finally)
Other errands will be completed on Sunday

Only reason amazon crashed was because they released after all other outlets sold out and they announced a time they were dropping so ppl were on it. But Toys R Us, Walmart, Target, Best Buy were all easy buys online if you were on it and did your homework

Walk in amounts most likely means they will have consoles available for those camping and not just allocated for pre orders. Not that they have so many you’ll be able to walk in at noon and grab a console

I couldn't disagree more with you. The NES wasn't an easy purchase on any website. Just because "you" might have copped on one of those said sites doesn't mean it was an easy cop for anyone else. I always find it humorous when someone equates their personal experience with the general consensus of how a release went.
