NEW ORLEANS HORNETS VERSUS HOUSTON ROCKETS VOL. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS WIN STREAK.

You scared?

Rockets, coming to an arena near you. You might as well, chalk up the L in your calender. You cant hold T-mac......

damn i hope they dont lose another game this season
pimp.gif
that would be crazy!!

They are not title contenders, don't look at what Buc be typin'

If Houston can beat the likes of Boston/SA/Lakers, then maybe they can be considered. But until then, title contenders?

The last 18 games, 3 teams are actually legit teams with a good winning record that Houston has beat. We beat Dallas without a Dirk.
I'm not knockin' Tmac & Co. as this streak is pretty darn impressive as it is but if you really want to compare and talk about how Houston isactually a legit contender, they have got to beat the likes of SA/Lakers/Boston/Detroit etc.

I hope the Rockets can carry this streak into the Lakers game so we can end it. That would be pretty sweet. Rockets are playing some amazing ball right nowthough. Gotta give props where they are due. I don't care who it is they are beating, 18 straight wins against anyone is impressive.

Say what you want on who they beat, but they were supposed to beat them and they beat them with ease. Where are the 18 game win steaks from the Pistons,Spurs, Celtics, Lakers. I mean the Spurs just lost to the Nuggets. We beat them by +12 with out Yao. Lakers lost to Blazers 4 games ago another team theRockets beat on this streak.Celtics had trouble with the west coast trip, losing to two team the Rockets beat in the streak. Celtics havent put up this kind ofwin steak and they have the best record. T-Mac came back and the Rockets started this streak, shows what he really means to this team.

please tmac, get out of the first round. every media analyst still expects this team to lose in the first round despite the streak, so please, prove something.

dawg, i said they are title contenders if yao was healthy. i don't think they'll win one with this group, maybe a round in the playoffs with theright matchup.

Props to Houston.

They are getting it done without Yao which is very impressive.

Also does it really matter that they have only beaten 3 "legitimate" contenders? Winning 18 straight is still very very impressive so why try anddiminish it?

. makes me feel proud of my home team. GO HOUSTON!

I hope the guys upstairs understand these core group of people around tmac and yao are legit and decides not to move any of them within the off season, rocketsdont look like contenders now, but gurantee if this exact same group of dudes come back with a healthy yao ming, next year, the rock will maybe get thatcontender title..hopefully..

What makes you say that?

um b/c they beat the spurs TWICE before they got on this streak and were not really clicking. they beat the suns. they beat the jazz. they beat the lakers.they beat the pistons. well u get the trend. they beat a lot of contenders BEFORE they got on this streak. what makes u think they can't do the same thing?
roll.gif

u may discount the lakers win b/c they didn't have gasol then, but the others u can't.

They go on a tear and now they are title contenders

I think this is a teaser run by the Rockets, I have a feeling they wont get past the 1st round again.

That's why it's always wise to wait until March to make observations on teams to determine who the pretenders and contenders are..I remember beforeYUKU, I was one of the few who said that Rafer Alston is a good pg.. He has a inconsistent jumpshot and maybe rushes a few things, but he is legit at callingthe plays and running the offense, especially the fast breaks.. And now that he's hitting his shots, he is actually becoming a threat... Seriously thoughsome of you guys recommended Steve Francis to start and to trade for Mike Bibby... yuck.... If some of ya'll were GM's (Rocket Fans), we'd probablywould have seen Rafer traded, T-Mac traded, and Adelman fired..

Man does this feel good though... All I ask is that the Rockets just please get past the first round... We haven't done anything in the playoffs sincethe Olajuwon days... It is TIME!!.. On the other hand.. Julian Wright

..My eightball predicts a good supportive roll on the Hornets team.. PLEASE Byron continue to play this man..

CP3 requires no comment.. seriously..

Oh so now, they were title contenders before Yao went out? Okay then gotcha.

Truth. I didn't hear "Rockets" and "title contenders" in the same sentence until recently. Then again, we all know whereit originates from.

Rockets fans have class.

and apparently chris paul doesn't....

i love his game and i think he's the best PG in the game today, but in a post-game interview he was being real sarcastic saying, "i wish i canbe half as good as rafer alston...bc he thinks he's so great"

now i could see that cp3, chandler, and rafer were all going at it before and during the game.. probably a carryover from the double tech's that chandlerand rafer got from the incident during their previous meeting... but cmon, leave the trash talk on the court, bc now you just sound like a sore loser.... itsobvious rafer is playing out of his mind right now and your career accomplishments will dwarf his.. but you lost, so just shut up and go home....

pair this up with the julius hodge incident in college and i really start to question how "classy" this guy really is

He's a punk kid just like Dwight Howard. acting all holy and God this and that, and then act a fool when the camera's not on.

18 wins in a row is very impressive; if anything, this streak has shown me the Rockets have some nice depth, mental toughness, and good team chemistry.Everyone is looking ahead to the Lakers game next Sunday, but if there's a loss coming up in the near future for this team I look at Friday's game (theBobcats). The Rockets might be on win 20 and looking ahead to the Lakers and that's when it bites them in the rear; please remember all NBA teams can winon any given night. The Bucks have beaten Detroit. The TWolves have nearly upset the Celtics twice. Upsets occur when you least expect it; that's why Iconsider this streak fairly impressive. Here's to hoping the Lakers can win next Sunday. Goodluck with the streak until then.

Rafer startin to make some folks mad

I love it.

How the heck is Chris Paul supposed to let Rafer Alston get into his head??

Rockets are playing great now and it's good to see them rise, but I agree with the other poster...

they HAVE been beating up on poor teams, plus 11 of their last 17 games are at home...so it has worked in their favor...

I still think they're a second-tier team without Yao...I'm really interested in seeing how they do against the Celtics and Lakers...

18 straight wins is an incredible feat, but it's also important to realize how it's come by...that's not dismissing what they've donehowever...

Adelman really needs to be up there in the Coach of the Year talks...he's actually managed to improve a team that won 52 games last year.

the lakers' recent win streak - their opponents had a winning % of 35%

the spurs' recent win streak - their opponents had a winning % of a few pts lower than the rockets

u can "technically" pin point every win streak and say the same thing
