New posts alerts disappear

Apparently there is a new functionality on watched threads, as there is an transition effect fading into unread messages.

Problem with this is that' lets say I have 6 new notifications from my watched threads. When I click on my avatar, it opens the menu for them. Okay, all good until now: when i open some unread message there, all other updates disappear. Or not disappear, but they are not marked as unread anymore.

If you go to “preferences” in the settings menu, you’ll find alert preferences.

Make sure “never mark alerts read” is checked.
