Lol you must have caught on to the blacktop line a little later on because he was in SEVERAL commercials for the blacktop line in 1991 and those commercials and ads were everywhere.

It's so awesome you posted these commercials today! Timing couldn't have been better. In the "Downsizing" thread, I posted I sold 140 shoes at one shot. The bulk of my collection to someone. I had a specific shoe I didn't want to give him, as I regretted adding the photo to the album which I used to sell them all.

The shoe I didn't want to sell? This beauty below!

The original Reebok Pump Battleground Retro. The only time it released. Way back in 2004 I believe. Can't remember the date. What I do remember, is that in my area, the ONLY place that was getting these was the Reebok store on South St in Philly. So I drove down that day (during the week IIRC) and walked in. No line, no nothing. And seeing the price sticker still on the box, $99.99 considering how freaking beautiful these were made, blows my mind! I mean the leather & suede quality was off the charts.

When the guy came to pick up all the shoes, I told him I couldn't part with these (I gave him a few extras to compensate, one being the neon Foamposite Pro from like 5 years ago). I gave up A LOT of cool shoes that I collected for many years (shoes that true old school OG sneakerheads would appreciate. I have the album in my last post in the Downsizing thread if anyone wants to see) but I wasn't going to let these go. They're way too beautiful. I'm gonna wear these around and enjoy them from time to time.

That said, we need another retro of these!!
