what does expensive have to do anything with how the stadium looks..and it is in nyc so material is more expensive.

I blame the mafia construction for the high cost. As for the stadium? It's the nicest Cathedral since Notre Dame.

as much as i despise new york's teams (no diss, just being a sports fan when i say LA everything since that's my home) and boston's teams (THANKYOU NEW YORK for bringing boston fans to a level that is even below humble), i will say that i BET THIS WILL BE THE BEST BALLPARK AND SPORTS VENUE out of allamerican sports arenas/ballparks/venues. just looking at the sign makes it look mighty and majestic (

nerdy choice of words, but you can't front and say that if you are theopposing team that that does not look intimidating).

NEW YORK YANKEES TO UNVEIL NEWLY RE-CREATED EAGLE MEDALLIONS FOR MAIN ENTRANCE OF NEW YANKEE STADIUM

The New York Yankees will unveil newly re-created "Eagle" medallions and lift them into place at the main entrance of the new Yankee Stadium onSaturday (3/29) at 8 a.m. A crane will be used to hoist these medallions on both sides of the recently installed gold-leafed stone "Yankee Stadium"sign. The process should be completed by noon.

The medallions, standing at 7 feet 4 inches in diameter, were re-created for the New York Yankees based on those from the original 1923 Stadium main entrance.They were modified to appear more dimensional and dynamic in an attempt to capture a more athletic spirit. The originals were removed in the 1974-1975renovation.

Citi Field is boring. Could've been better.

New Yankee Stadium is nice, they did a great job. Tough to leave the OG Yankee Stadium, though. Few truly historic stadiums/arenas left and Yankee Stadium isone of 'em.

That said, go Braves and Red Sox!

nah, from what i've read the chairs in the general seating areas will not have padding. luxury boxes and field boxes will be padded seats ....
