To be honest, I don't want Lagares to produce like Beltran. Don't get me wrong. I love Beltran. If he does that, fans/media will eat him up whenever he messes up like they did to Beltran. No need to give him more pressure. I am fine with the way he plays. It reminds me of Endy Chavez/Timo Perez. You know they never disappoint you with their defense. Their offense weren't that great, but they always surprise you with their batting performance. They are a heck of base runners. The only thing Lagares needs to work on is to reduce his strikeout.
I am glad that Alderson, Ricciardi and DePodesta didn't mess up Minaya's draft picks/international prospects. They keep these players and let them grow in their clubhouse. You know some general managers usually trade their team's previous general manager's players away after they take the job. 28 players of our 40-man roster are homegrown.
Flores went from .125 to .273 in the last 11 games. The best part about him is that he's got the potential to be a heck of an RBI machine. His RBI numbers in the minor are pretty impressive.
