Alderson and Collins gave Flores time off to clear his mind last weekend. They still believe in Flores. Hopefully Flores bounces back this week. We really need his offense.

I wish I am in Chicago right now. This series should be fun to watch.

Steven Matz is pitching phenomenal this year. He keeps getting better and better. Leads the Pacific Coast League with 45 strikeouts and ranks second with a 1.70 ERA.

it's not popular these days but i sincerely think its possible we trot out a 6 man rotation at some point this year with matt being the 6th guy.

It wouldn't be a consistent 6 man rotations but there will def be weeks where that is the case, plus it gives the young arms an opportunity to showcase themselves.

It's the only way harvey will be able to keep his innings down this season.

yep and if thor sticks, i can see them wanting to mix in a 6th guy just to keep him for the whole year as well since most rookies usually have an innings limit. i think gee gets traded after he returns from the dl. for what idk, but a team like the dodgers, red sox or yankees could use a solid starter.

Mets still struggling on road. It wasn't a bad loss though. Nice back to back home run by Duda and Flores. Robles's got potentials. He kinda reminds me of Duaner Sanchez.

Kris Bryant is the real deal.

Excellent pitchability for a kid his age. Not afraid to throw any pitch in any count. Didn't have his best command and ran out of gas in his last inning, but he looked very promising. Great makeup for a pitcher with a bright future and electric stuff.

This lineup will stink until we get some guys back, and even then we still need a bat.

I just don't know who we can get. Javy Baez can be had but he strikes out a ton. Might be time to move on from Murph. I like him but if he can't hit or field....

Friends wanna go to brunch. I'm gonna need to find a bar after to watch the Mets and Blackhawks.

Love Thor's pitchability. For a 22 year old he pitches like a veteran Isn't afraid to use his secondary stuff when behind in the count. Has the right approach at all times. More focused on getting outs with pitch sequences than off his raw velo. He's gonna be special. Just needs to refine his control a little.
