Never realized how fast he was, just the fact that he had the instant awareness to cover after the deflection, all around a crazy play.

Was at the game tonight. The air left Citi when Torres gave up the HR. It should have been ruled a HR instead of an inside the park, but Lagares' lack of urgency to get the ball combined with Tejada running from short to get it, deflated everyone. You could hear a pin drop. I left after the Sox scored their fifth run.

Starting pitching has to go deeper than they have lately. Can't leave it to the bullpen outside of Clippard and Familia to help win a game.

Just need that bridge to get the ball to Clip and Familia, but once September rolls around there will be reinforcements to add depth to the pen. If this team does in fact make the playoffs, you can easily throw one of the starters to fit that role, so I'm not too concerned.

Torres pitched 2.1 innings yesterday, his pitches were flat today.

Nats lost at least.

Agreed with he never should have been in to begin with. Bad decisions from Terry Collins could cost the Mets the division. They need to win these games.

It's not like the Mets were up 6-0, Neise stunk up the place. Harvey pitches tomm, just focus on winning the series.


Goedell, Reed or Gilmartin should've pitched the 6th imo. Can't wait for things to situate themselves as the month progresses, especially if the Mets are able to clinch a playoff spot.
