New York Yankees Official Thread - at Phils; 64-45 - Jazz Show is LIVE

Just an in the future look…. Bullpen is pretty set up for next year.

-Closer: Chapman
-I don’t think we have a traditional set up man, but Johnny Lasagna would be the second most high leverage guy.
-Clay Holmes is the third high leverage guy
-Peralta and Leutge are the lefty specialists (perhaps Joely for Leutge if they don’t bring Leutge back)
-Chad Green is your innings eater
-Nestor is your spot starter
-If Leutge is back, Joely Rodriguez and/or one of German or King whoever doesn’t make the rotation.

Can essentially just ignore the bullpen and focus on the big holes a 2nd SP, a SS and maybe a CF

Honestly wouldn’t mind them trying to dump Gallo after the season.
I respect him trying to play the only true outcomes. But meh

Michael Kay asking Mo questions about this team….. Clear he barely watches. Not Mo’s fault. But it’s cringy.

Talk about Mo. that’s why you bring him into the booth.

Blue Jays and Sox up 4 each.

If DJ and Gary don’t pinch hit when the lineup gets to 8 and 9, I’m going to lose my mind.

Bad hip and all. Put DJ out there to watch pitches for all I care.

would love to see these guys be able to hit in these shift holes, theres space everywhere :smh:

unreal how ballplayers these days can't hit the other way. think they would've ever shifted they way they do now on Boggs, Gwynn, Piazza, even Manny Ramirez ? they would've feasted ... crazy how these new age ballplayers can't hit out of a shift :smh:

I know most of you don’t like Gary or just think he stinks.

But having Higgy hit there is insanely bad managing.

His OBP is worse than 6 of the 9 starter’s batting average. For reference we are 22nd in team batting average. And the three guys his OBP is better than their average Gardy, Gary and Gallo have him by over 50 points in OBP.

Just awful managing. If Gary strikes out, he strikes out. But hell at least he could run into one too even in a slump

Looks like Piazza had 4 ground ball hits to the right side form 200o to the end of his career.

So yea, they would have shifted hard against him.
