Damn, someone needs to make a Drumline/Karate Kid/North Shore style movies about this.

Jordan Jones is an young, cocky, afrfican-american all star running back from inner city New York. He is set to break all state records this upcoming senior year but his mother, a flight attendant, is about to get laid off, but finds work at Hawaiian Airlines. Reluctantly, he and his single mother move to Honolulu to start a new life. Its the beginning of summer and while his mother is at work, Jordan starts hanging out a local beaches checking out the chicks. He exchanges glances with a local girl Mahealani, they get to talking but a local gang comes up to Ace and begins harassing him and its about to get physical. It turns out the the local girl is the younger sister of local gang leader Koa. Jordan and Koa argue and its about to get physical, but Mahealani stops it and tells Jordan to just go to avoid trouble. Football tryouts begins, Jordan goes in expecting to be handed the starting spot, but Koa is starting linebacker and has all the defense punish him daily with cheap shots. After a few days, Jordan has had enough and gets in a brawl with another with another teammate. He gets demoted to equipment manager and has to become humble and learn how to start from the bottom. he learns Hawaiian culture, hard work, and uses Hawaiian warrior training to get better in football. Fast forward to championship game, he earns the respect of Koa and his teammates. He rushes for winning touchdown, and celebrates with his girl. Last shot is him doing the Haka with his teammates pre-game at Uiversity of Hawaii.
