News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Reading All new X-men and they're version of time travel (young cyclops, angel, grey, and beast in the present, facing bad cyclops), honestly I'd rather see this movie done ratger than Days of Future Past.
Bad Cyclops? Minus that thing he did at the end of AvX... Is he truly bad?

^I was about to say the same thing. It would be a good movie Idea though but that means we would have to tack on at least 1 or 2 more ****** movies at the end of X3

Just reeboot the franchise and start the New X-Men Universe with Cable's OG X-Force team

Nah just kidding. Keep ******g up the universe you already made. No need to spread your filth onto other X-books fox

Isn't Cyclops simply an anti-hero now?

Also, Battle of the Atom is a clusterf*ck!

As a person who only reads X-Books and Cosmic Universe books (Guardians, New Avengers, Nova, Thor, Inhumans) I think battle of the atom is garbage. I have been reading the Infinity and the tie ins because they are reintroducing Inhumans with the events that are happening in Infinity (Inhumans fans should definitely read Infinity #4 if nothing else). Infinity is WAY better than Battle of the Atom.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd the Frontrunners for Ant-Man?

Variety is reporting that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd are the two frontrunners for Marvel Studios' Ant-Man, to be directed by Edgar Wright.

The trade adds that another actor could emerge, but as of now Marvel is said to be meeting with the actors one more time before making a decision.

Walt Disney Pictures has scheduled a July 31, 2015 release for the film, which was written by Wright and Joe Cornish.

Paul Rudd would be perfect!!!!! I think he'd be really good, perfect blend of acting range and a little comedy. JGL is John ROBIN Blake remember :rolleyes

JGL is cast for damn near every super hero role now :lol

Why in the hell did they think this would have been a good character to base a film on in the first place? :{ :lol

So it's confirmed that the Ant-Man film will be Hank Pym and not Scott Lang? If so, I wouldn't mind either JGL or Rudd for the role. I think Rudd is pretty good actor.

Rudd is better than most ppl think. If he were in a few more serious or drama driven roles it'd be more evident. I like him for it.

Don't think JGL is a good fit exactly but I don't know the whole vision of the movie and regardless he is stellar but to me if there's humor in this at all I don't think he'll sell it as much unless it's that fall down slapstick get hurt kind of comedy. If they go more serious like an espionage SHIELD spy agent then I think he'd be great for it.

Cyclops is bad if you think the ends always justify the means. He's leaned closer to Magneto the past 5 years but he's still Magneto lite. Also you gotta be cool with training mutant kids to be soldiers and sending them out in the battlefield to potentially kill those that would kill them rather than protecting them, training them to just defend themselves, and letting them have a childhood/teenage years while they still can instead of including them in an endless battle for equality (I say endless cuz the X-Men will never not be on that saving a world that fears and hates them steez).

I'm waiting on the trade for BOTA (only read the first issue) but I could've told you that Infinity would be better simply cuz it's a MU event as opposed to just a X-Men crossover (can't really recall the last time the X-Men had a MU event, probably Onslaught). Plus Infinity arguably has the better writer and format (Hickman vs. 3 dudes in Bendis, Aaron, and Wood which can be a too many chefs in the kitchen problem).

:lol and yeah I can see all the bs McFarlane is spewing about Spawn. Son said more like The Conjuring, he's not that good of a writer. Then he got the nerve to say The Departed or L.A. Confidential with a ghost in it :rollin I can agree that he wants to be focused on the level of the acting but c'mon with them examples. Plus I don't know who he thinks he's fooling by saying it's a 10 million dollar movie, maybe that's just the cost of special effects cuz if you want Jamie or other high caliber lead actors and a good director the budget has to be more.

:rollin :x @ a Stretch Arm Strong movie. I wish there was a separate thread just so I could laugh at it.

Marvel Studios Plans Massive Small Screen Expansion

The future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is looking especially bright on the small screen. Following the full season pick-up of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." last week and rumors of a proposed Agent Carter spinoff series comes word, via Deadline, that a 60-episode package is being shopped around to cable networks and VOD distributors. It is said to include four dramas and a miniseries of some sort, although specific details are currently being kept top secret.

Although plans for a 60-episode commitment are virtually unheard of, the outlet hints that Marvel is looking to break new ground with their approach and that the package could ultimate go directly to Netflix, Amazon or WGN America. By planning 60 episodes from the beginning, it's a good bet that Marvel is looking to construct some character and/or plot crossovers within the five new shows.

Drama though? And I'd imagine budget for it will be smaller than Agents of SHIELD so the show has to be very, very good and compelling to sell.

Can't be mad at more comic book related shows though so I am glad Marvel taking the leap.

Now Marvel vs DC is a preference. I understand that. In fact I have been reading some New 52 comics and wonder how I didnt get into DC earlier (but Marvel is still MUCH better imo). I literally watched JL and JLU a couple months back and that is what made me decide to give DC another chance.

But Superman is one of the few heroes I just don't see what the appeal is about. Wonder Woman and Supergirl, despite being more or less the same thing, are both cool by my books but I simply can't stand Superman.

Jesus, Marvel about to take over Earth with this ****, ain't they?
It's about time. I always wondered when Marvel would do this since DC has been doing it for a LONG time. Hell half their life action shows are crap yet they still get renewed.

Half get's renewed? DC has like one live action TV show at a time?

And heroes are about preference, we get it you hate Superman, let it go. :lol

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: Vin Diesel Confirms He Only Has ONE Line of Dialog

"My father taught me there are no small roles, only small actors. I only have one line in the movie, but that doesn't mean anything. I'm still going to make it the best possible thing I can."

One line as in says one thing and that's it or one line that he says over and over again? There's a difference.

Either way I can see how Marvel approached him for one big thing later in the future and in the mean time he settled for this to keep his buzz in relation to Marvel high.

It feels like more. Either way if garbage like Arrow and smallville get renewed tge standard for thes type of shows is not high at all.

The only thing I agree with on spawn is that it should be more dramatic and have a high level of acting to work.

The anguish of a man put back on earth who can't be with his wife is an amazing story. Still mcFarlane needs to partner with some people and get that cash flow going

I hope Runaways become a show and gets a backdoor pilot through Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but that would have to be after Avengers 2 right cause isn't one of them like the son of Ultron or something?
