News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Samuel L. Jackson signed on for 9 Marvel Films, so he's not going anywhere for a while.

I also enjoyed the Constantine film, nothing mind blowing but it was solid and very entertaining. The plot was good enough and the special effects were dope, I'll usually watch it if I catch it on cable. I thought it made enough money and was expecting a sequel for a while but a tv show could be promising. My only problem is that I don't trust the big networks to handle a show like this. It would be much better off on FX imo.

I have trust in it because I believe Del Toro is involved in the show, his initial plan was Dark JL but I think a show was easier to accomplish on his end.

I do wish it was on a premium channel like HBO or Showtime, Penny Dreadful on Showtime looks like it could be a good Constantine-esque type of show and they'd have the liberty to get down and gritty with it.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was the best character in the film. even better than the volcano imo. lol

lol. Did people think that movie would be good. Isn't it a knockoff of 300? Why not just wait for the sequel
Pompeii is acutally a knockoff of Titanic.

poor dirtbag falls in love with rich girl.  rich guy is a douche who wants to use his power and richness to marry rich girl. but of course rich girl likes poor dirtbag guy......... disaster strikes. the end.

300 Rise of An Empire is a knockoff of 300.

Watching The Dreamers weirds me out but Eva Green was full frontal. That's how she should be in all her movies.

Maybe you're not up on history but Pompeii and 300 are nothing alike :lol
None of y'all watched that crappy King Arthur show that was on starz?

It came out right before Game of Thrones and somebody thought that was a good idea.

All the "hey, the show/season was good, I should put my people onto this," disappeared in the quickness.
I knew nothing about this but similar to Vikings they should've aired the show right after the end of a GoT season. That's how you get a 2nd season and more viewers.

I was actually confused when a movie about Pompeii were being made, I mean it's a damn volcano erupting but then they had gladiators in the trailer. But apparently they even managed to put a tsunami in there too. :lol

Yeah, no idea why they made it like Gladiator. The documentaries about the city of Pompeii are probably way more interesting. Place was like the center for prostitution with brothels everywhere and sex rooms in every alleyway.

HANNIBAL's Mads Mikkelsen Up for DOCTOR STRANGE Role?

Marvel is looking to finally get their Doctor Strange movie into production, and they are currently talking to four potential directors for the project. Bleeding Cool has reported that one of those directors is linked to an actor that the studio is considering for the film. That actor is Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen, and the director is Nikolaj Arcel. They worked together on a film called A Royal Affair.

There's no information on what character the actor would play in the movie, but I don't think it's Stephen Strange. I assume he'd be up for a villainous role. The site mentions that they have no idea if the actor is still being looked at, or if he was just in the mix of actors very early on in the casting process.

I should probably also mention that this wouldn't be the first time that Mikkelsen was up for a Marvel movie role. The studio was looking to cast him as the villain in Thor: The Dark World at one point. So it makes sense that the studio would have kept him in mind for another role somewhere down the line.

Now that the ball is starting roll on this movie, I'm sure the casting rumors are going to be flying. As always, we'll keep you updated on any developments.

You could tell they tried to make Pompeii, Titanic style: romantic period piece bs, leading up to the big disaster ______.

But Titanic style always suck....every time....except for Titanic. :lol And that took Leo, Kate and the dude who made T2.

I mean, look at Pearl Harbor. :x

I swear, after Casino Royale, she was everything. And she would've blown up too, but Marion Cotillard came in and snatched every damn role Eva woulda been good in.

I was about to say after reading the title, he would be the creepiest Dr. Strange ever. I can see him as Baron Mordo for sure though.
