That's actually not funny. At the end of the day, it's just a game. Matt Schaub is human just like the rest of us and should be treated as such. Attempting to slander the man AND his family in person and through the internet over friggin football is exactly what is wrong with today's society.

What's making me more upset about this situation is that from what I've read, Schaub is actually a really nice guy. Not saying a prick would deserve this treatment, but he seems like a geunine person outside of football.
The part about taking photos of his family is really disturbing and pissing me off...

there is literally nothing funny about this.
i don't think we've ever seen eye to eye on this board, but i can not agree with you more. this is crossing the line. you don't like how the guy is playing, fine. but step to his house in front of his family? i hope whoever it was does get banned, and hopefully prosecuted.
and from all accounts, schaub is an outstanding citizen. does a lot of charity work, raises a lot of money. and i don't know why he took pictures of schaub's family. they literally have nothing to do with any of this. i can't imagine being in his shoes wondering what some stupid fan might try to do. i did read however that the texans have contacted nfl security and are trying to provide schaub and his family with extra protection.

Honestly, I always thought he was really insightful when he called games before being a GM. Had a really good football mind, but I think his situation just snow balled. It'd be kinda cool to see him get another shot.

Front office...Not with the Vikings though.
Not nearly as much control of day-to-day operations, but just player personnel things. I'm sure he's had to have learned from his mistakes. I just remember listening to him sometimes and thinking he had a bright football mind.

League of denial is a great documentary. I believe we are seeing the last great years of football. In a decade deacde in a half it will decrease dramatically, my believe from the knowledge i gained from the documentary. Parents arent gonna want thier kids playing football this some great athletes will never take the field.

Yea to my knowledge Schaub does a lot of charity work and the NFL recognized it as well.

In recent years, it has felt as though fewer teams have been willing to participate in HBO's Hard Knocks. The behind-the-scenes spotlight doesn't seem to jibe with a lot of current front offices and coaching staffs, and thus many have wondered if the annual series is nearing the end of its life.
Not so.
If nobody volunteers for Hard Knocks going forward, the NFL will make you. That's right, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport andAlbert Breer, the league has approved a policy that gives Roger Goodell and Co. the ability to assign a team to Hard Knocks duty. Albert Breer has more details on which teams would be exempt, particularly, those who have a new head coach, those who have appeared on the show in the last 10 years and those who have made the playoffs in one of the last two seasons.
So there you have it. Extra incentive to make the playoffs and/or fire your head coach.
The Patriots are probably going to keep making the playoffs, but the Giants will likely meet the criteria this upcoming summer. Imagine Tom Coughlin on Hard Knocks. Other intriguing candidates that could be available for assignment: Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Chicago. Any of those options could produce the most compelling season of Hard Knocks yet, which is great news for fans and the league. We'll see how the teams feel about it though.
