TD :hat

he was still the best that shanny ever had. the next closest guy in that string of backs was 500 yards short? would have loved to see what he could have down without the knee issues

Clinton Portis > TD

Davis helped Elway, Elway also helped Davis.

Portis had Brian Griese. :lol

TD better than AD? C'mmoonnnnn!!! My opinion probably doesn't count though.

I was tight that AP didn't get it. I don't think he'll come close to it again. I hope I'm wrong

Yep. I think it will have to be this upcoming season if it happens, but I doubt that it will, unfortunately. At the time I wasn't too upset because I was more looking foward to the playoffs than anything and felt the individual achievement took a back seat, but he's the best ever, so I wish he had that record.

Better? Naw. The BEST. Yup. :hat

Yall clown, but it's the same how Hines Ward is regarded as one of, if not THE best blocking WR in NFL history.

Tatum Bell, Reuben Droughns, Mike Anderson, and Olandis Gary were all 1000+ yard rushers under Shanahan.

Jamal Lewis' 2000 > Terrell Davis' 2000.

Oh I ain't clownin, I fully support your point 100%.

Appreciate it, bro :hat

Speaking of Jamal Lewis....

He was an absolute physical freak. 5'11" (maybe) and 245 pounds running a 4.3-4.4??? That **** ain't fair.

You do have to give Terrell Davis credit for being the only RB Shanahan really stuck with.

That has to mean something.
So the raiders release Pryor because of gang affiliation too

man I tell you the NFL is pure comedy
They traded him to the Hawks.  What affiliation?

He was a 6th round draft pick making pennies during the end of Elway's career.

He caught lightning in a bottle, once the knee went, he could plug and play anybody and get the same results, only he lost his HOF QB.

Terrell Davis had John Elway, Ed McCaffrey, and Shannon Sharpe.

Jamal Lewis had a Kyle Boller/Anthony Wright collab, Travis Taylor, and Todd Heap.

:lol

They both had great lines, which is what really matters.

Why do you assume having a good QB means you'll rack up more yards?  It more likely means the opposite.  Barry Sanders?  Chris Johnson?  AP?  None of these guys had good offenses around them, which is why they got fed the ball so much.

That's true -- probably explains why Marshawn Lynch has had almost 3000 yards rushing the last two years.
