I think it'll need to be an entire season of poor performances from Romo for Jerry to finally cut him off. But he carried them to be in the position they were in. There is a lot more wrong with the Cowboys than Romo. You can't blame injuries for everything. It's been 3 offseasons I'm saying this but Jason Garrett has to go. They need a big name/game coach to come in and Jerry is going to have to eventually give up some power in the FO.
Now if Ryan Mallet became available...:lol

Would be totally not surprised if JJ did trade up for a QB, getting cowboy fans all excited while continuing to let the lines and defense go to hell.

Pretty cool what Calvin Johnson is doing. He is taking all of the WRs from the Lions with him to the pro bowl this year, I believe he did the same last year.
2013 NFL Playoffs Predictor

Broncos look like Super Bowl champs in playoff projection
By Nik Bonaddio and Keith Goldner | numberFire

Happy New Year and happy postseason football! After just 17 short weeks, last year's Super Bowl champion is already out of contention, opening up this year's playoffs for a new team to claim the crown. There will be no Eli Manning, no Drew Brees, no Big Ben, no Tony Romo and no Tim Tebow. Peyton Manning leads the Broncos in as the No. 1 seed with Tom Brady close on his heels. Matt Ryan and the Falcons head into the NFC playoffs with home field advantage as they try to avoid yet another postseason collapse. Will this year be any different?

Like Nate Silver did for the 2012 election, we do for the 2012 NFL playoffs. Using the mystical powers of math, we let you know first who will be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.

Please note that all rankings refer to the opponent-adjusted efficiency as calculated by numberFire, not the gross yardage.

1. Denver Broncos (13-3)

The Broncos dominated Kansas City and head into the playoffs having won 11 straight. Thanks to Peyton Manning's former team taking down the Texans in Week 17, the Broncos secured mile-high home field advantage; Denver owns the No. 2 opponent-adjusted passing attack in the AFC behind only the Patriots.

2. New England Patriots (12-4)

The Patriots and the league's best offense -- which includes the top passing attack in the NFL and top opponent-adjusted rushing attack in the AFC -- also greatly benefited from the Texans loss. Tom Brady will have a week off to rest and prepare for a likely matchup against Matt Schaub and company.

3. Houston Texans (12-4)

Once the dominant force atop the AFC, the Texans head into the playoffs going in the wrong direction, losing three of their last four games. The Texans still own the No. 2-ranked opponent-adjusted defense in the AFC and should advance past Cincinnati at home in the wild-card round, but not much further.

4. Baltimore Ravens (10-6)

The Ravens rested the majority of their starters against the Bengals in a meaningless loss after having clinched the AFC North. Baltimore's revamped passing offense will have a chance to shine against the Colts' league-worst opponent-adjusted passing defense and will be playing at home in the friendly confines of M&T Bank Stadium.

5. Indianapolis Colts (11-5)

The Colts were locked into the No. 5 seed in the AFC but chose not to rest their starters, decimating the division-rival Texans' Super Bowl hopes. Andrew Luck has completely turned around a team that finished dead last in the NFL last season, going a dismal 2-14. Between Luck and rookie Vick Ballard, the Colts' rushing attack ranks No. 3 in the AFC after adjusting for strength of opponents.

6. Cincinnati Bengals (10-6)

Cincinnati may be silently thanking the Colts for not resting their players as they have the good fortune of facing the Texans in the first round, rather than the tall task of beating Tom Brady and the Patriots. The Bengals will need to rely upon their rushing attack, which ranks No. 2 in the AFC after adjusting for strength of opponents.

1. Atlanta Falcons (13-3)

The Falcons dropped a meaningless game to the Bucs on Sunday because they had already secured home field advantage. The bye week will be especially helpful given that Mike Smith decided not to rest his starters -- both Dunta Robinson and John Abraham sustained injuries. We will find out if Matt Ryan and the No. 5 ranked opponent-adjusted passing offense can finally achieve some postseason success.

2. San Francisco 49ers (11-4-1)

The Niners beat down the Cardinals on Sunday, grabbing a first-round bye due to the Packers' loss to the Vikings. Between Colin Kaepernick and Frank Gore, the Niners own the league's No. 2 opponent-adjusted running game, which has added 35 points more than what a league-average offense would score in similar situations.

3. Green Bay Packers (11-5)

The Packers had the opportunity to lock up a first-round bye against Minnesota and failed. Aaron Rodgers and his No. 2-ranked passing offense will have the opportunity for revenge against the Vikings at Lambeau next week and will be a challenge for any team in the postseason. Had the Packers not lost the famed touchdown/interception game to the Seahawks, they would be resting up for the divisional round.

4. Washington ******** (10-6)

Robert Griffin III and the ******** won again in a playoff atmosphere on Sunday night and remain one of the hottest teams in the NFL. The Skins have won seven straight games coming off their bye week and RG III leads the league's best opponent-adjusted rushing attack. A home matchup against the other hottest team in the NFC, Seattle, looms large.

5. Seattle Seahawks (11-5)

The Seahawks enter the playoffs scorching hot having won five straight games, several in dominant fashion. Russell Wilson made magic happen again on Sunday and Seattle's opponent-adjusted passing offense ranks No. 3 in the NFL on a per play basis. The Seahawks will be missing their 12th man, as they will be on the road for the length of the playoffs, barring a No. 5-No. 6 matchup in the conference championship.

6. Minnesota Vikings (10-6)

The Vikings had a few different ways to make the playoffs, but after the Bears won there was only one goal: win-and-in. While Adrian Peterson was busy running over opponents en route to setting the second-highest single-season rushing total, the Vikings quietly won four in a row and against solid competition too. The Vikings will play the Packers again next week, this time on the road, where they lost 23-14 in Week 13. That was the last time the Vikings lost this year.

@incarceratedbob: **BREAKING NFL NEWS**Source: Browns and Chip Kelly have agreement in principle 95% Done(Still some contract language to work out) real close

Who the hell is incarcerated bob?

Not the Patriots team of old, their secondary is vulnerable.
Plus Denver has homefield locked up, they are the team to beat regardless of their schedule.

Even the patriots of old gave up a ton of yardage, but forced turnovers.

Peyton has never done well come playoff time, not even during his only superbowl run. Guy doesnt play well in cold weather, couldnt even get it done in a Dome. That was a 100% Peyton. Now hes 80% of what he was Dinking and Donking his way down the field. Once Brady puts up early points, that Denver D isnt made to play from behind. Up to Peyton to keep up. I dont think he will. I wouldnt even be suprised if Denver doesnt win a playoff game.

let's not get carried away. peyton's track record isn't great...but one and done? :lol

as far as THIS new england defense...we have been getting turnovers. but he shredded us in the second half earlier in the year. we don't have the cover guys that we did before (ty law) when we shut his *** down in the playoffs. we'll need our front seven to play tremendous at mile high if we get to that game.

Peyton isnt the same Peyton as before on the Colts no matter how much the media and NFL want him to be. He doesnt move the ball down the field in the same fashion as he did with Indy. Now, hes more of a dink and donker and theres nothing wrong with that. But Yes, its possible for them to go One and Done, no team is invincible. Even Brady a few seasons ago went one and done against the Jets with homefield when everyone picked them to win the SB.
