So women can't provoke a fight because... they're women?
Look, no one is saying it's her fault, or what ray did was justified. Stephen A isn't wrong in saying she probably shouldn't have provoked him. If you're ready to get paws put on you, don't **** with anybody and keep your hands to yourself.

How do you know? What if alcohol was involved with both parties? You don't know what was said, and ultimately the specifics of what happened in the elevator. None of that is justification for him hitting her, but if you provoke someone that's an unfortunate but realistic possibility.

Nobody is giving rice a pass. Just acknowledging there is an issue with some women provoking situations. Plenty of scumbag men too that are pieces of ****.

Training Camp sucks. People are dropping like flies. At least they have Byrce Brown. He gets a lot of negative runs but has big play potential.

I really hate to jump in on this, but I see the point 10027 is making.
Everyone agrees what Ray Rice did was wrong. Everyone agrees that hitting a woman is wrong. However, the statement Stephen A made about women should know not to poke the bear, essentially gives creedence to the idea that some instances make hitting a woman legitimate. Pipe down or get hit, while that unfortunately can be the case in these types of situations, SAS spoke out of his place for bringing it up and and there was no need to go that route. Beadle took it to another level yet, and it's all an unfortunate mess.

why cant SAS say that? more so, he clarified himself. humans defend themelves, and so look at it as bullying. no person should be subjected to that. but it gives you no immunity either.

All I'll say is males don't get into a relationship with a woman that's physically abusive. You can turn the cheek many times but it only takes one time to ruin your life. I don't have time to deal with a woman that doesn't respect me as a man
And IMO the only time a male will ever have a pass to knock a chick out cold is if she has some type of object that can cause harm.

He clarified himself by saying the exact same thing. Then, he "clarified" himself again because some ESPN suit probably told him to shape up.
The sad thing is, Michelle Beadle will probably be the one suspended for criticizing a colleague on social media. That's ESPN policy. Bill Simmons got suspended a couple years ago for calling out First Take as well.

My favorite part is SAS said a few times "I can't emphasize this enough, men should never hit women" guess he didn't emphasize it enough. I also like Beadle but i thought it was a weak move to bring it up on twitter and not just talk to him about it.
My mother always told me, if a woman wants to hit you like a man, treat her like a man. I just think people are way too soft. I have no problem with what SAS said. Society forgets how easily and how hard women push you. Then when they succeed, **** gets ugly.

No point in "emphasizing" a man/woman shouldn't strike a woman/man if you're emphasizing "but he/she shouldn't.." afterwards.

So you're saying its fine for her to physically touch him first? The report was, she started it in the elevator and got physical with him. Then he struck her. I don't think what he did was right but I also don't think what she did was right. She gets as much blame as he does. Either way, two games isn't enough.
