NFL Discussion Thread: Pats win SB XLIX. Offseason begins

I have the Colts this weekend, but don't feel sexy about it.

Just unsure of Peyton, and hoping that's enough to let Luck steal one.

Indy must get early lead tho, help slow down the pass rush. If Denver gets a lead, they will destroy that Oline.

no one giving the colts @ broncos game any love... smh
Andrew walks out Mile Hugh victorious
That would definitely be something

Just in keeping with fairness, the NFL has told the Cowboys that game officials missed several penalties against the Lions

The Cowboys sent in 10 plays to the league to get reviewed as they do every week. At least 7 came back in their favor.

Among the flags missed were illegal hands to the face that were so blatant that it knocked off Jermey Parnells helmet.

There was also a defensive hold on Jason Witten on the play before the 4th and 6

As a fan, I'm not worried at all about the match up between Baltimore & New England. The pressure is all on Brady to perform. Baltimore is playing with house money. So let the chips fall...

I have Indy by 3. But that's my heart, not my head. Not picking this game with the same confidence as Ravens +7.

Not that the run game is the Colts' focal point but you need balance, and Denver is stingy defending the run. Luck really needs to protect the football, costly turnovers will destroy any chance of an "upset." Moncrief will be a huge factor with all the attention on Hilton, from Talib and Harris. Wayne and Nicks less so. Fleener and Allen also must produce as safety valves and security blankets for Luck if the Broncos get pressure.

27-24, Indy.

:smokin i knew my boy would have our back

It's a great matchup but I think that has more to do with the fact that no one really believes that Luck can beat Denver on the road all by himself. I'd love to be wrong though and I'll gladly season and eat my words if I'm wrong :lol

I feel literally the same way. Luck is gonna keep it interesting but at the end of the day it's just him and the homie T.Y. And I love luck to T.Y. As much as the next man but Denver has too much firepower on both sides of the ball, they'll run away with it.

Peyton and CJ keeping things balanced, broncos win this one

I feel like the panthers have a better shot then everyone is giving them

i would love to see indy win.

a part of me deep down inside secretly wants to see peyton just ball out this playoffs and shut people like me up though

ultimately though, the bengals are the bengals and that helped people forget that the colts looked more like a product of a piss poor division at times this season.

cowboys/packers is a toss up in my opinion.      the cowboys should have success running on green bay and keeping the ball out rodgers hands. however, they can't fall behind 10-0 or 14-0 this time around. the packers aren't the lions.  rodgers and company won't take their foot off the gas  if they jump to a quick 2 score lead.  dallas needs to get some early points, if they do that, they can play their type of game on sunday.

panthers/seahawks seems like the closest thing to a for sure thing this weekend with seattle getting the W, but the panthers play them tough and have the type of team to give the seahawks problems.  still its too many question marks.  would love to see this game still be competetive at halftime.

the past is in the ravens favor for that game, but this ravens team isn't the same as the 09 and 12  teams

History suggests this will be a close game, but Seattle will win.

Panthers always play Seattle tough, and always a few plays from winning, but never score much.

9,12,7 the last three point totals Carolina had vs Seattle.

:lol @ rooting for the Ravens after the miracle at mile high,be careful what you wish for...

chill bruh :{ still have feels from that game. but i think this denver team is more equiped for this years ravens. so go ravens (i repeat, only this weekend. flacco, just this weekend pls. pls. )

You guys serious?

Jumpman DID get banned :lol

He called GMS A _____ boy (I ain't getting banned) and someone mysteriously reported it (8o)

He's still being the same Jump on Twitter tho :lol

no wonder he hasnt been around.

I'd be more worried about CJ then Peyton

stillin knows :Nthat

Where do you expect these 24-27 points to come from?

Panthers WR is a Wash against the LOB.

Cam is banged up still, he looked dreadedful against a trash cardinals secondary.

No star? seahawks can line up and pound the rock all day.

Panthers have 0 chance unless the Seahawks offense comes out terrible or their defense gets shredded.

Don't see either happening.

Any given Sunday; Seahawks offense coming out flat is how the 24-27 would allow them a victory

Panthers D has looked much better lately

7 penalties missed! Oh the horror. I'm never watching another football game again. This is like Watergate, no its Liongate!

Congress needs to investigate and bring the refs to Congressional Hearings so they can be questioned.

please move on

On a more serious note, the game is already slow enough with all the replays and commercial breaks and I prefer that they let ticky tack penalties like small holds go so that the game has a better flow. The games are already almost 4 hours long. The regular season games would be unbearable if it wasn't for Red zone.

Or nah

i don't mind necessary stoppages.

hell i don't mind letting the players play either, but there needs to be a level of consistency.  if your going to let ticky tack stuff go, only to randomly call it late in the game, or not call it one game, but call it the next game, it interrupts the overall flow of the game.

Tend to agree with this

If they can score 24-27 points I think they can win

no Star hurts them but they're still pretty good with their interior

I dont see Panthers winning a high scoring game in Seattle, naw...

If they do, it'll be like the last three matchups have been...ugly and low scoring

Seattle is the team more lighter with the interior defense than Carolina, imo...Im slightly worried about that but I think Hawks can finally have a game with a faster start on the offense with getting some bodies back on the Oline
