Packers choked more then the Seahawks came back but gotta give Russell credit when it mattered most but I still can't believe anyone in their right mind would say they'd take Russell over Luck if they were starting a team from scratch

Russell knows how to win, not talking about this game but, he constantly proves that he can play good under pressure(which Luck cannot yet) and he has a more mature mind so he reads the field better and as a result, makes better decisions. The only thing Luck has over him is talent but, execution is more important in this sport.

I mean a defense that keeps you in every game helps along with a top running back

Colts D and Boom Herron aren't exactly top tier

He had had multiple comebacks including a great one in the playoffs so I'd say Luck is also good under pressure. Last night he wasn't great but it didn't matter with how they were overmatched. Besides, one game doesn't determine how he is as a player (same goes for RW yesterday)

Next season Marshawn Lynch probably wouldn't be near as productive when he goes to another team without a mobile quarterback

1400 yards and 12 TDs when his QBs were Tarvaris Jackson and Charlie Whitehurst in 2011.
Over 1300 yards each of his first two seasons with Buffalo when his QBs were J.P. Losman and Trent Edwards.

He'll be fine.

Seriously, after the SB it's time to have a thread about where LOB D is historically. You know what play I saw of him which impressed? After the injury, it was a third and maybe 6 towards the end, AR throw a short cross route to Jordy (I believe) and Sherman was able to tackle him with one arm. It was at the point where a first down or two won the game for GB. Absolutely huge play and not easy to bring the dude down with a dangling arm

True but, because of their situations, Wilson still developed better and as a result, he is a more polished player and he learned how to make very good decisions. Since Luck doesn't have the luxury of leaning on the run game or depending on the D to give him breaks, he has more pressure put on him which may inhibit his mental progression and take a toll on his decision making abilities which in turn is making him a gunslinger. So, all in all, Wilson shows better growth(probably because of his situation) so I would take him over Luck.

Marshawn needs to be a Seahawk til he retires. I don't wanna see him anywhere else.

I hope he gets into the HOF when it's all said and done. That speech would be epic.

I remember that as well. Had to get him short of the first, otherwise he probably makes it. Had me worried though.

I can def see the point you are making and its very valid but put Russell on the Colts and no way I see them even making the playoffs

Russell is in the perfect situation with a coach who knows exactly who fits his system

But Marshawn Lynch did not run for over 1300 yards til he was paired with Russell Wilson

Also his yards per carry have trending up since he has been paired with Russell Wilson

I started really watching football in 91 or so

Seahawks defense is the best I've watched followed by the early 2000's Ravens and the Eagles in the early 90's with Reggie, Clyde, Seth Joyner, Eric Allen, Jerome Brown, Andre Waters and Wes Hopkins...good lord.
